Come guys, I adore Cillian and his acting but it wasn't his year. Ben told a story that needed telling about the NHS and its awesome staff and their day-to-day struggles and heartbreak, he did it with passion, dignity and authenticity and truly deserved this award.
Not only the NHS but the awareness about medical professionals, practitioners and their struggles in their field sheds light of how self inflicting and pressured their work can be on this show was so refreshing.
He deserved that without being biased. He has that authenticity as an actor without any fuss and yes been watching him for a while and he makes thing more memorable.
People saying Cillian was robbed clearly didn't watch Thia is Going to Hurt. I like Cillian and he's stellar actor bur popularity of the show does not determine individual awards (Even though sometimes does)
