I always thought it was badass how Cell just fucking stood there waiting for the tournament to start. Could have been wreaking havoc on the planet or killing people, but nope, just silently and politely waits for it to start. Best villain in the series imo
@HunterwithaMedkit goku did also let his son fight and be pumneled by cell. He gave zeno the idea for a tournament that resulted in universe destruction. Showed off his power to zamasu who then used it to destroy the future, let villians like vegeta and frieza live. (and also let frieza leave after reviving him). Put all the pressure of protecting the worlds and raising his family to his son; while leaving them without a father. Then abandoned everyone to train a kid he heard of but never saw in dbz canon. He ain't smart, he can barely count!

Like how cell waiting for and starting a tournanent is like how goku waited for frieza and gave an idea for a tournament. It's more than just pride, it's goku. Most saiyans would hit first, not start a tournament where you take turns. Goku is dumb. But he's a great martial artist. You can be a genius but still forget to plug in a toaster. Still weird how he doesn't care about his brother or king kai though...

I love how cell has absorbed thousands of weak humans and managed to get strength, instead if he absorbs krillin, which has a great strength than that of a human, he lose a lot of strength
Red Robins when Cell stabs people with his tail he sucks out everything from them, like a vampire. But when he opens the tail and forces someone in they become part of him. He doesn't kill them, like when Gohan punched 18 out of him. I spent way too long thinking about this

I don't see why absorbing Krillin would be a bad thing, but of course the joke here is that Krillin's weak and even the likes of Tien & Yamcha can handle him in this form. The whole story is meant to poke fun at the humans; that's why in Budokai 2, Super Buu becomes equally disappointed after absorbing Tien and Yamcha.
I really wish they had continued this style of storytelling in the Budokai series, Imagine getting to see a what if scenerio for Majin Buu. I think that would have been pretty cool, especially with those what if fusions and absorbtions in Budokai 2.

I wish the newer games had these weird "what if" scenes like the older games had, like these were really weird and creative. Had a good laugh with this one back in the day. x)
