Along comes this gem of a video, and I've been enjoying building up my raft ever since. I'm not even close to starting the story, but I can finally chill while slowly progressing towards that point. I've played around 30 hours so far, but never managed to get a sustainable food source or so before working on story, this brought me new found motivation to start a new game and get the essentials running first just like you showed!!! Never played this type of game before and I'd purchased Raft purely for long distance gametime with the partner; this was the best guide video amongst many on the what's/how's of the game.

Thanks for this guide. I didn’t really think about using the crop plot. I kept making the rod to fish and then using resources to rebuild when it broke thus wasting resources when i could just plant the vegetables to grow them! Fishing also took away from early game gathering :(
This was an excellent guide! I was looking all over for a basic explanation of controls and how to start. I don't really play a lot of games but this one looked so fun on twitch.
I've put about 10 hours into the game over 6 savefiles because I ended up failing miserably in either of them. And that's on normal difficulty. This game can be quite tough for beginners and has a learning curve.

I started playing and im struggling to find a good tip vid. You would make a good Rust tips and tricks vid. Think about it. LOVE THE CONTENT!!

Idk if this is a glitch or something but I've noticed that the shark mostly follows the raft not the player so if you park your raft on one side of an island you can explore the other side without being attacked just make sure you use the island to get to the other side because the shark will follow you if you swim around
ive had craft for a while, i go to play and i always end up spending hours and achieving nothign.. thanks for the guide wll give it a go now. maybe il actually do something in the game xd
i think u should explain that sand and tone are essential becasue they give u the smelter and the glass makes u upgrade the water income to a level u dont need to worry

Looked so easy when i saw 3 or 4 ppl play it. Playing solo is a lot harder cause of that shark. Thx for the tips!
