@RK B If you have seen my old videos and you know the problems I faced while opening a bank account in Germany and it took me a whole month just to open a bank account in Germany. So if you have Block account which is giving you a bank account, it becomes very easy and you won't face issues like me.

Hi. I had a query regarding visa application for student visa. I have my visa appointment at Mumbai office on 17th july and I have opened the blocked account through fintiba..however, I haven't yet transfer funds as my education loan is not yet disbursed. Loan is sanctioned, but paperwork and other formalities are pending which will take 2-3 days more. Post this, international SWIFT transfer may take 3-4 working days extra and post this only I will receive blocking confirmation from fintiba. So this overall process may take more time and cross my appointment date. As of now, I have blocked account contract details received from fintiba and once money transfer is done, I will also have local bank transfer receipt. Can this both be used as a proof during my visa appointment?
@AtharvaWardhane-zm4vm you can try and contacting fintiba on daily basis and such cases they do the paper really fast. The problem is usually VFS demands block account confirmation ( form 6) and if you do not have it you have to book another appointment. However, I will suggest you that still go with all the documents regarding your block account, swift transfer receipt and ask them send your documents to the consulate and you will send the confirmation directly to the consulate. If they accepts that good or else ask fintiba to fasten the process or in the worst case you have to book a new appointment.

@fujh57 usually you can update your blocked account. However, you can contact ICICI bank for more detail procedure on how to update blocked account amount.

Expatrio only give free travel insurance and not health insurance. You have to pay for health insurance monthly once you arrive in Germany.
