Orifice tube was installed backwards. Also need to let the system sit for at least 15 minutes after pulling vac to test for leaks. Small leaks take time to show up on the gauge.
@@NAYBAHOOD_NINJA It depends. If you are doing a quick recharge, the R134A will come with a little oil. When you replace the compressor, some will come with oil, others will need oil added. You will then add a measured amount of oil right into the compressor before you install it. The instructions for the compressor will advise.

I could could not get the orifice tube out. Its deep in the tube and unreachable. Mine is inserted other end from how you inserted yours. Which is correct?

Did you not install the new orifice tube in backwards, opposite of the original? Take a look, white end should face towards the rear of the vehicle, correct?

Ford orfice tubes colors are the orfice size. Blue is .067 inch . Red is .062. Orange is .057. Green is .052. Brown is .047 Pre 1993 cars are usually R12 gas and often use a Blue orifice. Later Car with 134a gas use a smaller orifice A small change in orifice size changes the system a lot. It can make the idle ac performance better and degrade the road speed ac performance some. If you change an old r12 gas vehicle to r134a you change the oil in the ac from mineral oil to PAg oil and use a smaller orifice size.
I'm going to suggest that the orifice that he removed in this video was already incorrectly installed and he took the incorrectly installed orifice out and correctly reinstalled it. The orifice prior to this video was more likely the reason the system failed
mine does the same thing, I replaced the orifice tube and recharged, my head pressure is still high and low suction pressure. That to me says the evaporator coil is clogged and not enough airflow passing over it to raise the suction pressure. So that's my next project.

The dryer/accumulator should be the last component installed. It just takes minutes of atmosphere exposure to ruin it.

He did, that's why his low side is to low and the high side is rather high. Low side between 30-35 and high side 175-225. For a orifice tube system

I believe they are not the same. IIRC the expansion valve is in the evaporator lines

my 01 escape only blows cold air when at idle , as soon as i hit highway speeds it just blows hot air any recommendations ?
