Hello I have a pair of Alexander McQueens I accidentally put bleach on the black suede at the back not a big problem at all but what would recommend to touch it up? I have the black dye but I don’t have a cleaner or finisher or anything. I’m very worried and shook, I want to just go in with a fine line brush and touch up but not sure if I need anything else ? And if I don’t have cleaner what would u recommend as not a big job at all
Gonna try the navy blue dye on my international 12s and gonna repaint them lets see what happens And also will this fix them if they are faded because there real faded right now
yoooo!!!!! what happens when we dip a brand new pair of too light orange suede joints in oil???? will thew result end up too dark??? not worrying about the nap at that point of course.
I have a question. I want to dyed a pair of shoes of nubuck leather, they are light purple and i want to use black dyed. If i am using black dyed, do i need to use the neutralizer? Thanks
The black dye usually has a purple or brownish tint so you should use something to help pay down the excess dye so you’re not left with a purplish or brownish/golden hue.
@@FeelgoodThreads so if I buy the angelus and put it on Black Cat 4s should I use a regular shoe cleaner(mgk) after to not possibly get that purplish tint?
Yeah just better to start off with a guaranteed clean pair of suede shoes. People assembled them and may have gotten oils or other chemicals on them that may not help the dye process.
or how about this type of dye in a huge bucket with water to crazy dilute that shade of orange so it won't make them too dark?? will this process dry evenly?
Nope! I just put it straight up in the airbrush but you can paint on with brushes too. Just try to stay consistent on the overall panel if you hand paint. 👍
Jesus Cordova I use suede dye to keep the suede soft. Paint will def harden it. Adding 2 soft might work but I noticed that the color eventually fades.
Feelgood Threads why does it turns into a bronze "colour" on ur hand? Same problem on my sneakers, after i started to paint, it turns bronze only on some parts of surface. Why..?!
I want to dye my Michigan yellow jordan 5’s to orange. Do the same tips in this video apply to that custom?? Do I have to buy those 2 additional dyes to complete the custom?? Also angelus only has orange leather dye, is it almost the same process, or do I have to take additional steps.
Flowerbitch yes a lighter version of the color that you have. For example, navy blue can be lightened if you add blue. Keep in mind that this way will not lighten as much as adding neutral.
Hey did you ever get around to trying this? I was thinking of trying this with a pair of nubuck red aj1 mids. Currently waiting on my blue dye to come thru
Good shit my guy ! I’m about to start customizing, but I’m gonna get at least 4-5 weeks of experience under my belt before I do my Bordeaux 7s. Mine aren’t in the best condition tho.. some crease and certain spots have deteriorated . Would you recommend I do 5 or more layers or use darker colors only ?
Ree Boutit suede dye is very tricky. Sometimes if the shoes are too beat, they may not be recoverable. Light coats and trying to put cushioning inside the shoes so all the creases are ironed out will help.
Dope song choice in this. Do you have to apply something afterwards to make sure the dye doesn't run if water hits it or so the dye won't rub off accidentally?
@Feelgood threads or anyone lol. Is there any way to fix a pair of shoes that have been over saturated with dye? I did some wallabees navy blue and used too much dye so there is the brownish bronze tint on the shoes in some areas. I’ve wiped the shoes down with a few rags trying to remove all the excess dye but it’s still brown in spots. Any help would nice.
Feelgood Threads right I seen that. What if it’s after the fact and the dye has already been dried and set for a few weeks. Was my first dye and rushed it
G C man suede dye is weird. Sometimes it dyes well sometimes not. The black that I see usually starts to brown after a while. But it doesn’t mean you can experiment and beaters.
hi, i like your video , and also i have a tip to use 1 step:: before cleaning and dye paint , fill your whole shoes til the top, with reading -paper props/cramps, they can't get any ugly cracks on the top of the nose or everywhere, its about to keep the model in shape within you cleaning, and dye paint your sneaker...
KingWho KingQuincy good question. That was the hardest panel because you have to avoid the jumpman all together. Just a lot of careful brushing around it. The flat angular helps get the nooks
Feelgood Threads thank you for the hit back. Much help as well. Also, I would like some feedback from you on my IG page @ almightystackzz93,if and when you can. Thanks.
Paul Giovanni man me too. I always try to start lighter then I expect and then continue to add the darker dye if I need to deepen the color. Like this tutorial you see my grab navy in the lapse to darken.
Feelgood Threads yep I get you, I'd like to be able to mix dyes for things like the am1 cherrywood, chlorophyll and curry those I can't seem to even get close to haha
Paul Giovanni notice that you usually don't see loud or bright colors for suede. That's because the dyes don't have the power to make them like that unless a company makes a specific dye to color for example a purse, loafers or other suede items.
i want to dye my air jordan flight one elephant packs white from the suede parts, but i cant find any white suede dye! If anyone knows a place can you please help me or reply me a link?
suedes must be dyed using suede dye. ive seen some people try painting with paint plus 2 soft, but ive also seen them become ashy easily. Problem is, dye does not come in certain colors
@@NathanTheClutchMan-yt1vv - If $10 is expensive for fixing your shoes, you shouldn't get into refurbishing them...or you spent $10 on your shoes! How feasible would it be to dye the grey panels on this colorway of 7's bright green? Also, how feasible is it to dye black nubuck? I had an idea in my head of getting some infrared 6's and doing a crazy neon green, and varsity red combo over the black nubuck, but after watching this video, I'm thinking that maybe working around the clearly defined edges of the bordeaux 7's might be better. The edges are clean and well defined as stated above, but you also get lighter colored sections which are presumably going to show colors more brightly as opposed to trying to throw some vivid saturated color dyes at black nubuck.

If it’s not exactly dirty then you can just touch it up but keep in mind that there are several shades of black too.
I bought a pair of Jordan swift Laker edition. Is there a way to change the toe from black to grey like he pair of your working on in this video?
I would say that is possible by hitting it with light grey dye first then layers of dark grey dye.
What color dye I need for retro 13 flints the grey suede part...
You’d have to reach out to the company for that as I don’t have an exact answer for you bro

Is it possible for one to use an airbrush to apply the dye? whether it be leather dye or suede dye?
Sour Lito absolutely.
is there a cleaner we can use instead of the easy clean?
Several cleaners on the market. I just had this one to clean that day.

do yu wipe some of the excess dye off after yu apply the last coat?? using alittle alcohol and water??
LONEHYPE yes good idea.
Is it okay to you use finisher on suede?
Malique buckets no!!!! At most use a water and stain protectant!
Did that brand have a cobalt blue Or you have to mix few colors to make it cobalt blue? The original color is light gray.
Is it possible to turn black suede to charcoal gray?
mrs meristil yes but it takes time.
you should do a vid of how to dye black suede or nubuck other colors like burgundy, navy blue etc
I second this request.
black suede is the toughest to flip, I recommend finding another base because you have to dye black to grey first , then what color you want.
reply below.
So it is possible to dye dark suede into light suede, and how?
Feelgood Threads why does it turns into a bronze "colour" on ur hand? Same problem on my sneakers, after i started to paint, it turns bronze only on some parts of surface. Why..?!
I tried to re dye my all red jordan 12s and it left gold or bronze color on them, how can I fix it and why does it do that

Can I change red suede to blue suede by putting white and 2-soft as the first thing then adding the blue on top of the white?
