Everyone is in the kitchen and a basic talk is turning into a fight really quickly when Cheryl (Kimberly Elise, who also played in Diary of a Mad Black Woman and The Price We Pay) made a comment about Rachel’s divorce. Rachel (Gabrielle Union who also played in Bring It On and L.A.’s Finest) and Cheryl want to leave the house with their families because they can’t handle this situation anymore. Walter makes everyone quiet and explains he just wants five days with his family. They finally all agree to this.

What’s the Almost Christmas movie about?
Walter Meyer (Danny Glover who also played in Lethal Weapon and The Color Purple) invites his four children and the rest of their family for the first time after their mother's death for the Christmas holidays. He knows that getting them to spend five days together without them killing each other would be a miracle. Cheryl (Kimberly Elise, who also played in Diary of a Mad Black Woman and The Price We Pay) comes with her husband who falls for a young supermarket saleswoman, Christian (Romany Malco, who also played in The 40 Year-Old Virgin and Think Like a Man) struggles to find the balance between his campaign to become a Congressman and his family life, Rachel (Gabrielle Union who also played in Bring It On and L.A.’s Finest) is recently divorced and has to take care of her daughter while studying to become a lawyer, and finally, Evan (Jessie Usher who also played in Shaft and Independence Day 2) is a talented football player, but he injured his shoulder and has trouble stopping taking painkillers once his injury has recovered...
