Hey guys, some tips: 13:15 Anna, good knife technique, just make sure your knives are super clean. 16:15 Philipp, wearing earplugs reduces hearing loss and stress 20:25 use large dollops of mortar on panel then press onto bricks, dollops form to the shape needed for a strong bond. Wet down the bricks so they don't dry out the join before the bond is made. 22:10 Nickel braze the fire shield from the back side. fusion welding will be challenging, a Henrob 2000 oxy system can succeed with a skilled operator. Alternatively try superglue for a cosmetic finish, it wont hold if you actually light a fire near it. 23:20 Anna mix the filler in a small plastic cliptop bag for no mess, then cut the bottom corner off and squeeze the filler into the cracks like a cake piping bag technique. you'll have less mess and go faster. You guys are awesome for having a go and continuing to push forward.

CAST IRON WELDING- If you use a stick welder (you'll probably find you can borrow one, a lot of amateurs have them) there are a different type of sticks/rods specifically for cast iron. I haven't tried it but as a first welding project, it may be a little easier than some types of welding because the metal is so thick it's less prone to warping with the heat. Ideally, you may need to get it really hot in order for the welding to take place. You may find that something like exhaust putty would also be alright for reshaping areas that you can't weld to that easily. Good luck - you can do it! I think you should have a theme of behaving more and more like the French aristocracy until Nathan tries to behead you - it could be really funny.
I have to ask...what the heck is "Giant Sweet Lips"??? I bust out laughing every time I see that! Oh and congrats on your PC!!! You should be able to plug in two monitors to that. Put your second monitor that you just got rid of and you'll have two monitors...you can edit on one and have reference or other things on the other one :P

You just search an overwhelmingly big job when you’re dealing with ceilings as high as Chatteau ceilings are because it takes SO MUCH LONGER because the walls are 4 feet taller average then the standard wall heights in American walls and the rooms are three times to four times bigger. So when you think about how much muddying and sanding there has to be done, it can take days and weeks to just doing prep work!! And that’s just one room❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ I love the videos where Philip and Anna do this Mock bantering back-and-forth~ it makes me chuckle because I know they’re not serious and Phillips dry sense of humor makes me appreciate the videos that much more ... and I just keep plugging along to get the work done well he makes the videos and plans for his next scheme of humor. They make a great team and I love their beautiful home and they’re beautiful Family…(& Nathan’s French lessons) ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Hi Philip, if the fire plate is cast iron it would need braising. This is a form of gas welding done with filler rods made of a bronze mix. it is specialised but blacksmiths used to do it regularly.

Should have bought an M1 Mac mini, then not only would you have the processing power, but it would be silent, which is more fitting for a chateau. Should have bought an M1 Mac mini, then not only would you have the processing power, but it would be silent, which is more fitting for a chateau. Good job on the painting Anna! Looks wonderful! Love the 'celeste' and xylophone plinking while panning the woodland glades. Adds a touch of whimsy. (The 'celeste' is a piano-like instrument that mimics bells. It is mostly used at Christmas in the Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky for the Sugar Plum Fairy's solo dance).
