Agreed this is going to be a difficult sitting of the legislature, if not down right impossible. The greens are holding the sword of Damocles at this point, if they choose to. Where the ruling party, and the opposition party are tied, there's a possibility, although a slim one, that we could see some good legislation come about, if the greens wanted to play the fiddle. That's if one was to wear rose coloured glasses. But I don't see it lasting long. Inside of a year at best. This time however the conservatives will be entitled to the guaranteed campaign funding. The ndp were given 8 million, where the conservatives received 200 thousand, and the rest was small donors. I still consider this a huge win for the conservatives. To comes from nonexistent obscurity, to being with in a whisker of forming government. The dust hasn't settled on that yet either. The mail in ballots still need to be counted, which were leaning towards the conservatives by 7-8%, and then there's all of the recounts that are going to happen. 11 ridings are with in a hundred votes, which triggers an automatic hand recount. Then there's 20 something ridings that are candidate triggered recounts. They were also that close. It's going to take another week, maybe two to figure this out. We didn't get into this predicament overnight, and we aren't getting out of it over night either. We've been on the road of losing our rights and freedoms one cut of the thousand cut at a time. I blame us conservatives for rolling our eyes, shrugging our shoulders, and saying meh what ever, for far too long, and then not going out and voting, because we have more important things to do. Like working. It's that attitude, "I've got work to do, I can't be bothered", that has put us where we are today. I'm not talking just B.C., or even Canada, it's everywhere. I believe we need mandatory voting, and referendums on the major issues, if we truly want a democracy. Because voting for a representative, to have them tow the party line clearly doesn't work all the time. The one thing this election has done, is proven the importance of getting out and voting. Eleven ridings with in 100 votes, one was tied near the end of voting night. 5910 to 5910. But if the seat count stands, this isn't going to be easy for either party to rule.
BC election needs time to rig the outcome for a ndp-green 'coalition'. They needs to 'find' a few 1000 votes for this. Possible in districts with large diasporas! Beware!
Very great points !!
They’re still counting!

No it’s going to be a rough go for either party. I think we’ll see another election soon to be honest

NDP NEEDS MORE TIME TO MANUFACTURE VOTES...
