Captain Cannabis modding emissions equipment yes. Not the exhaust. Running a test pipe maybe. But changing your exhaust like adding a cat back is not illegal.
I have a 2018 Impreza hatchback manual and i did a nameless muffler delete, the thing pops like crazy and it definitely turns heads, I get compliments on it all the time. Sounds amazing but isn’t fast.

See I have the opposite problem that you have. I have a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer gts. I’m in high school and It’s my fist car. However a few of my friends thought I had an evo at first but I had to remind them that I have 150hp, I’m fwd, and I’m 3000 pounds. Just because I drive stick doesn’t make me an evo owner. HOWEVER, I have more fun just driving my car than anyone else in the school parking lot so idc that I'm slower than a Ford Fusion 😂
I bought the 2014 MR with the 6 speed SST, usual one I get is, it’s an auto. Um nah it’s manual too, I use the paddles to shift all the time, I just don’t have to wear out my left hip joint too soon with a clutch. Anyone who asks is it a manual I just say yep. I mean Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s, GTR’s, WRC cars have paddle shift. I love mine.

Sorry mate.... it's a Lancer.... All Evos are Lancers..... Its just a different model of the Lancer. eg. Lancer ES, Lancer GSR, Lancer LS...... Lancer Evolution
I mean the EvoX is supposed to be a part of the Lancer Evolution family, but well it doesn't have the same motor as the Lancers before it that had a critically acclaimed engine that competed with the likes of that Subaru and some would argue with the Nissan Skyline, but the Evo just flipped off the Lancer family, new motor, new look, it's more family friendly, it looks awesome but it tries so hard to be an "everybody" kind of car but everyone complains about it.
I have no problem with Turbo in the back, yes it will heat up but u can put a bigger turbo and all that and still look stock. 🙃🙃 hehehehe. U can literally lie about your mods when racing... “Issa stock bro. Only upgraded exhaust” 😋
You need a bigger turbo that does not go into boost until after 3500 rpm, when I had my stock turbo and then the fp red I had the same crappy gas mileage issue, but once I switched up to a pt6262 my cars. Gas milage literally doubled because I cruised at 2500 to 3200 rpm which kept the the car in Dr Jykell mode 🎉🎉🎉🎉.
Few years ago I bought a '17 Toyota 86. Personally a great car despite the lack of power I had a lot of fun in it, but deep down the 2015 Evo has always been my dream choice. Oddly enough I too am in the process of becoming a police officer and although I don't own an Evo I agreed with all the points made especially 1 and 2. The interior could look better personally. Almost everyone will agree that even with the Final edition not having recaros is a bummer, but overall I still love this car. Such a dream car like the Evo is by no doubt going to have flaws, but I still want one :)

There is an actual reason why modern cars have moved the turbo to the back of the engine instead of the front. With the turbo in the front, the engine has to be raised so the exhaust pipe can run underneath the engine and out the back. That affects handling, and the hot exhaust going underneath also heats up the engine oil pan, in turn raising your oil temps. With the turbo in the back, the engine can be mounted lower for better handling, and since the exhaust doesn't have to go underneath the engine, you get less heat to the oil pan, and the exhaust pipe length is shorter which also cuts down on weight.
Funny i didnt know evos gas mileage was so low. My cammed s197 mustang pushes 425hp and i still can get 20mpg on the highway easy. Better gas than my fuckin v6 ranger 😂
I own an SRT4 and everything you are pointing out besides the stock seats is exactly the same annoyance as yours. The turbo placement....my God. The interior is way shittier looking than yours and the badging I added stuff to let people know its not a neon. I havent raced an Evo X but have raced the earlier models of my cars generation and spanked them. Respect.

i hope you understand 5speed vs 6speed , evo is built for high performance ,5 speed for aquick speed, you need s tune up if you want better miles per galon instead instead of high horsepower.

A cop pulled me over about a year ago in my evo 9 because I had a wonderful emissions R on the windshield at the time and after we got to talking about cars he was indeed an evo fan and totally understood my emissions problem living in MA and he let me off!!
Yeah the fuel efficiency on the Evo X is TERRIBLE. I have an almost-stock car but I drive it hard and live in an urban area = ~15 mpg....plus I'm in Japan so premium fuel is like $6 USD per gallon. FML....
Great vid man. Just wondering what your full mod list is. Just got my 4b11 rebuilt with ID1050x injectors pumped by a walboro 255 and my tuner says I need 1300's to reach 500whp with E85. I'm running 2.1l big bore , manley rods and pistons, ferrera valves, gsc stem seals, gsc2 cams, beehive springs, retainers, ets intake, ams intercooler with upper/power piping, ap headers, ams wide mouth dp, ams test, ams rs single exhaust, and mhi 18k turbo. Only making 350whp. Any input would be appreciated

When I bought my evo I knew it would have bad gas mileage but trust me it’s way worse than expected sometimes I get 9mpg or 19mpg if I drive like a great great great grandma and I’m talking about going 60 in the slow lane on cruise control
Lol a Evo is not bought for interior or highway gearing, if It has plush leather interior the price would double bro. The turbo in the rear had to do with engine design it was proven that having the engine spin in the opposite direction allow The engine to spin faster, learned this from studying the engine design of the German VR6 motor. You can do what I did and have a dual tune on your car so with the flip of a switch you can go from e85 to what ever grade gas is available in your town. It’s that temprah v7 )on a stock ecu for the Evo. 8/9 ) so you can still pass emissions ect,not sure what it is for the Evo 10. A few have touched on this but sorry to say, It's a "Lancer Evolution". The seats were a bit of a bummer but that was not Mitsubishi's choice. 2015 saw the addition of stricter airbag laws (seats). The Recaro's don't have airbags so they were left out of the last model year. The turbo gets its cooling from the center hole in the hood.

Great vid man. Just wondering what your full mod list is. Just got my 4b11 rebuilt with ID1050x injectors pumped by a walboro 255 and my tuner says I need 1300's to reach 500whp with E85. I'm running 2.1l big bore , manley rods and pistons, ferrera valves, gsc stem seals, gsc2 cams, beehive springs, retainers, ets intake, ams intercooler with upper/power piping, ap headers, ams wide mouth dp, ams test, ams rs single exhaust, and mhi 18k turbo. Only making 350whp. Any input would be appreciated

When I bought my evo I knew it would have bad gas mileage but trust me it’s way worse than expected sometimes I get 9mpg or 19mpg if I drive like a great great great grandma and I’m talking about going 60 in the slow lane on cruise control

The turbo in the rear had to do with engine design it was proven that having the engine spin in the opposite direction allow The engine to spin faster, learned this from studying the engine design of the German VR6 motor. You can do what I did and have a dual tune on your car so with the flip of a switch you can go from e85 to what ever grade gas is available in your town. It’s that temprah v7 )on a stock ecu for the Evo. 8/9 ) so you can still pass emissions ect,not sure what it is for the Evo 10.

A few have touched on this but sorry to say, It's a "Lancer Evolution". The seats were a bit of a bummer but that was not Mitsubishi's choice. 2015 saw the addition of stricter airbag laws (seats). The Recaro's don't have airbags so they were left out of the last model year. The turbo gets its cooling from the center hole in the hood.
