@@MichiganGreatOutdoors this did not sound good using air pods. Your voice was only coming in my right ear. Make sure your mic is set on stereo if you have not fixed this already. Also nice video.

Thanks for the review. Question on one point I wasn't clear on... All the talk was about the main rope, but at 7:08 it looks like all of your body weight and single point of failure would be on the smaller prusik rope that the carabiner is attached to. And their was no mention of the quality/strength of that rope. Am I missing something?
@@MichiganGreatOutdoors pretty sure it is. I had just bought two to use as a tether and belt . Work just fine but they're heavy and unwieldy. I ended up getting the method 2 saddle and it's great. Just ordered the latitude belt and tether based on ur review. I really appreciate the time and effort u put into making videos for guts like us.
Just ordered and got mine the other day… they must have watched your video cause they changed up the black accessory prusik cord. They shortened it, eliminated the knot, and sewed it in with a plastic sheath and rating tag just like the main line sewn loop!
Gave me 50 shades of grey vibes with that pan over all those ropes lol jk Great vid!! I wish I could go with a thinner rope but my Gri Gri recommends 9-11mm and I love being able to descend down a tree like a fireman
I have tethrd,s 8mm linemans rope and tether.they are made of the same material and are very abrasion resistant. Another great video. Keep them coming because I love your insight on everything. Excellent my friend 👏
Thank you, I had a buddy have a strange experience with the tethrd 8mm and the sheeth slipping and bunching up on the kong duck on the tethrd 8mm so thats why I elected to try the Latitude one.
@@MichiganGreatOutdoors yea I guess anything can go wrong with any rope.i used my tethrd rope all last season. 45 hunts and it was perfect. @@MichiganGreatOutdoors Thanks for the feedback, I’m getting ready to purchase my first saddle, I was thinking the Cruzr XC or the Latitude. Good luck hunting!
Dyneema is not super abrasive resistant. I don't mess with the small stuff because of that. All my aiders and stick ropes are made of 1/4". The smaller the diameter the rope the more easily a mechanical device can cut it completely or de-sheath it. People are playing with fire when it comes to this. You don't want to fall on 8mm climbing line with any sort of rope grab.
Great video as always, but you said the Tethrd Caribeaner was "Big and Heavy" ... It weights 2.3 ounces 😂😂😂 That's less than .3 oz heavier than the "extremely lightweight" Black diamond you compared it to. I will agree, though, the shiny Tethrd caribeaner is silly. None of them are ready to go in the woods without a tape job anyway IMO.
I would choose a hang on with a saddle 🤣 In all seriousness id choose a hang on. I think it offers the most versatility and its what ive been using since I was 12 so im super comfortable with it.
My plan is to use my .5 with the TX5 minimalist saddle this year or the kill deer with the mini drey. As of right now. Maybe tx5 lonestar for all day sits in my .5
@@MichiganGreatOutdoors nice lots of tools in your tool box very versatile! I am strictly a hang on guy .5 with four 17” minis + Aiders and a Novix helo with 5 beast minis
Great show. You got a unique cool name. Just purchased these Vapor lines, much lighter weight in my SYS haulers. I weigh 270lbs also, and Vapor lines and Kong Duck seemed just fine. Just bow hunted tonight 12/29 and Kong Duck and Vapor lines held me just fine. Sure like that weight reduction over my bigger diameter orange and green lines from Tethered. I really like those lines from Tethered a lot but I don’t like how much they weigh and space they take up in SYS haulers. But Thank you.
I recently changed microphones, please let me know if it doesn't sound right. I value the feedback 🤙🤙
only getting sound on one side on my Sony headphones. You can duplicate the audio track to make it stereo.

How did you shorten the prusik knot ?
@@topwaterblzt2473 i had to retire it, and then I cut the long end off.
Did you reuse the material that came with lattitude ? Or did you use new material ?

Thats friggin hilarious how u chuck all the other ropes on the ground ......love it lmfao
Heck yeah man! Get them ropes outta there! Hahaha
This is a pretty good overview of ropes available, and good info regarding prusik vs mechanical for heavier guys 👏🏽.
Hey thanks!! Appreciate it
Went and got both vapor ropes after watching this amd reading the comments and boy what a difference best ropes ive ever seen.....
I love them man. Seem to be holding up good so far!!
I’ve done at least 10 3-5 hour sits hanging from the latitude 8mm and it’s amazing so far. Time will tell though. Thanks for the video mate!
Anytime! I love my latitude ropes! Still using the same ones!
I really appreciate how you give straight to the point, honest because you’ve used it, here’s how it is reviews on gear.
Thanks!!
Ur new mic sounds good man
Thanks brother! 🤙
I have 2 of the Tetherd 8mm tethers. They don't seem as small, and are nowhere near as pliable as other 8mm ropes I've seen
Ive used my latitude vapors for 2 seasons now. No issues yet.
If it’ll hold you it’ll definitely hold me… I’ve switched over to Latitude products, great quality, very pleased
Me too. Them ropes are superb, Ive used them both for the whole season.

I always run rope on rope, I dont trust mechanical ascenders.
You should do a review on the shrike webbing tether from aero hunter. I’d be interested in your thoughts on that one.
