The Butmir culture was a major Neolithic culture in central Bosnia, developed along the shores of the river Bosna, spanning from Sarajevo to Zavidovići. It was discovered in 1893, at the site located in Butmir, in the vicinity of Ilidža, which gave its name to an entire cultural group of the Late Neolithic in central Bosnia, the Butmir culture. It is characterized by its unique elaborately decorated pottery and anthropomorphic Figurines, and is one of the best researched European cultures from 5100 to 4500 BC.[1][2] It was part of the larger Danube civilization. The largest Butmir site is in Visoko basin, in Okolište.
@@ranglr8319 It is rather simple patch, 1st and 2nd tap are pan hard left and right and 3rd tap mixed with original signal is in the centre. Sound source is Odessa (as a source of sine wave)>Drezno+Jena (as wavetable waveshaper)>Belgrad>Tallin and Zadar (envelope). In some parts it is just Odessa and Tallin. On the beginning of video Sarajewo is synced to external clock and sequencer is changing divisions on Sarajewo (this effect is presented at 4.57). I don't remember how feedback path is patched, probably just mix of the taps instead of usual 3rd tap.
How is with the noise with high delay time? Is there or its none. Cause i cant hear it in this video... The same was with erica bbd. They showed the video. No noise in longer delay time.. But when i bought it... It showed.. Longer delay time more noise.. :( Hope here is diferent.. Or i just have bad psu in my eu rack case.
You can't compare it with a modern digital delays but if we are talking about bbd delays I think we did quite good job to get rid of as much of noise as we could. With the longest times there is more noticeable degradation, you can set inbuilt filter as you want but it is always a compromise, less noise means a darker sound. There are three best available bbd chips in Sarajewo and in my opinion up to 600 ms it sounds clean and quite bright. We didn't use any processing in the video and I believe it shows module honestly.
Mix of T3 and dry signal gives you standard delay with longest available time. While mixing multitap delay usually you want to set independently volume of each tap. To do this you need pot for each tap and it would take more space and further rise the price. If you add pots for mix of taps, why not add pots for individual feedback loops? We believe the beauty of modular is in patching so we focused on as many open points as possible. With available outputs and open feedback loop you can selfpatch Sarajewo, use your favourite modules to bring saturation, filtering etc.
@@xaoc_devices thank you for your reaction and explanation. Yes, patching is the beauty of modular and I do understand the choices now. I think the price is acceptable and fair, 3 BBD lines, synced clock etc., and it's sound is very good and versatile. It's on my list, but I have sacrifice other modules for it...
@@xaoc_devicesHello, slight correction - Sarajevo (city I was born in) was never part of Eastern Bloc. Yugoslavia was non-aligned country. On the other hand, Poland was part of Eastern Bloc.
Yes it is due to cost of components and calibration. Believe me we did our best to keep this price as low as possible, we could cut some corners but that would drastically affect the quality of sound. It is nothing like digital delay, there is lots of expensive chips. Under this panel there are more than ten individual modules like compressors, expanders, VCFs, VCAs and delay lines.
Three analogue BBD lines in one module... Try to buy three different 'cheap' ones from Doepfer, think of trying them to squeeze them in 12hp and have it syncable. Expensive, yes, but justified I think!
It’s kinda pricy, but I think it’s worth it if you can budget for it.it’s seriously one of the best-sounding delay I’ve heard. People pay like 4 times as much for a Moog MF104.
sounds incredible
Using this module on dub techno chords and its brilliant !
This delay is amazing-beautiful and haunting at the same time!!! It seemed expensive to me too, but it IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!
First item on my shopping list! Great effect!

Got Zadar Recently

Sarajewo or Delay 1
or both
All the Best
Finally nice sounding delay in eurorack with tap, sync and with possibility of stereo patching! I will get one!
One of the best delays out there 😎🔥
So excited for this one.
Some of these sounds remind me of that Krautrock song, "Jennifer" by Faust. I dunno, maybe it's just me.
Whoa! Really clean sounding for a BBD. Will definitely be picking one up.
Beautiful !
Holy fuck you're a genius.
'Five Kamienec phasers inserted in the feedback path'!!!
total of 30 stages :) but it's not so obvious with different modulation on each unit.
love this. big Four Tet energy at 0:54
One coming 🎉
Did you know that the Butmir culture, located in present-day Sarajevo, dates back to over 7000 years ago?
????

is the stereo effect achieved by panning the 3 mono outputs? or is there a stereo output that i'm missing?
There is no hidden stereo output, it is just panning of three tap outputs.
@@xaoc_devices Really into this one. May I ask you to describe the patch?

@@xaoc_devices Thanks a lot!
GAS is fully activated!
Awesome, Is this available?
Need the ability to sync two :)
What module is producing the bell like sounds in the beginning of the video?
On the beginning the sound is taken from Jena and Drezno, and then there is Odessa starting at 0:53.
How is with the noise with high delay time? Is there or its none.

It is in my wish list 🤓
best eurorack delay
Does anyone know what the sound source could be from 1.00 Minute? Is this Odessa?
yes, it is :)
Wow! When is this available?
Question to Xaoc, why the choice of only having the output of T3 going to mixed? You need to separately mix T1 and T2 with them afterwards?

What does ‘Sarajewo’ mean and where did it get its inspiration for the name?
As all our name it is after the name of the city from eastern block but spelled in polish language.
