    For a more accurate cut on the circumference i would use a jigsaw with metal blade.

    Where did you get 3.14 ?

  • @CoBugs
    @CoBugs Год назад +1

    Why such a complex formula? can be easier. The circumference is L=π*D where D=2*R from these formulas the desired length will be equal to l=(2*π*R)/4. And this is not the limit, you can still simplify the formula l \u003d (π * R) / 2. Because π=3.14159 let's simplify l=1.57*R. In total we have l=1.57*44=69.08mm.

    The problem with these British videos is the use of metric measurements, we use inches in the US.

    • @thardyryll
      @thardyryll Год назад

      The “inch” system is the problem. I am in the states and have been using the metric system for more than 50 of my 68 years. It is simple, accurate and vastly easier to select the next larger or smaller wrench. This would be for car repair, of course. Unfortunately, even though an increasing number of materials, such as plywood, are actually at least partially metric, the construction industry is light years behind. That said, conversion of the numbers in this vid is super easy, as that angle iron is basically 2-inch, 1/8-inch thick.
