Lord, have mercy, Larry!!!! I can't come up with the right words to describe the technical mastery and riveting expression this video showcases. We're lucky to have singers like you around. Rossini would be so proud.
SSSpellbound at this BelCanto genius. I'm still in love with Luciano/ is that right leg leather getup part of the costume.? I need one of those as I broke my right hip (again) got my 45 year old crutches back out. expoeriencing great joy at people holding doors etc for me! Douglas Gunderson, viola, voice, piano , organ, violin, recorders, guitar etc SD CA
Jonas is good in many things but he certainly is too overrated even though better him than Netrekbo. At least we overrate males that have beautiful voices despite their technique. Female opera is quite devastated by the Netretkbo effect. However there are many promising voices yet to emerge and Lisette Oropesa so far is doing a great job.
Very great performance. So much presence and lyricism till the end. Truly graceful singing. Maybe the final C5 would sound better if he gave a bit more kill into the cadence. As an aspiring Opera Tenor, If I could find opportunity to study and sing half the way he does, I'll be glad.
I think the broken leg is part of the costume because when I saw Cenerentola in Opéra Garnier last autumn, the tenor who played the Prince had a broken leg too. But I don't know why the director decided the Prince was hurt...
Lawrence Brownlee, Juan Diego Florez, Rolando Villazon, Michael Spyres -- I don't know who is better. We are lucky to have all of them with us today to enjoy their considerable talent! Who said the golden age of opera was dead? Fritz Wunderlich and Leopold Simoneau were the predecessors of today's wonderful Mozartean singers. In particular Simoneau sang this aria with so much tenderness and artistry he has to be my fave (at the moment and subject to change as singers evolve). ruclips.net/video/in7Nhn1H7Zs/видео.html
Such a wonderful singer and artist! Bravissimo Larry!

Oh, what joy you bring to the world, Larry!
Perfection.... the true bel canto technique.
INDEED!
Wow... this guy has improved a ton! And he was awesome before!

The World's leading Bel Canto Tenor
What a great tenor! We should stop over-rating jonas kauffmann

Jonas Kaufmann is not a Rossini tenor.
Both tenors are spectacular , none should be compared to the other
So precious and wonderful voice!

Great Singer!!!
What a voice and technic. I am speechless.
Bravo! 🤩
Wow!

Perfect
if ever there was a male coloratura, it has to be Lawrence Brownlee
❤💙💜🖤🙏🙏🙏
He sings great even with a sore leg.

Villazón? The man who wrecked his voice? He's more of a DiStefano than a Wunderlich, not on the scale of Brownlee.
@@therealmerryjest Yes, Villazon had a good voice but he always sang at 120 % of his possibilities and destroyed her voice in ten years.
