The word 'amazing' may loose its meaning for this performance. Two incredible tenors with an excellent accompaniment make you wonder what else could anyone expect from an opera concert. Brownlee is superb, Spyres is phenomenal. Bravissimi tutti!!!

Absolutely true! But Michael is not a tenor cause you’ve heard the low notes, which he could handle. It’s better to say that he’s not just a tenor but also a bass and baritone and a tenor. Wow! He’s one of the greatest 🤩

This is one of my favorite videos. Everyone on stage has such fun. We have two of the most beautiful voices of the age singing magnificently. The music is so well chosen for those voices. Their interactions are spot-on. At the end of the performance, you cannot help but feel a sense of elation.

Do you like Rossini? I don't know, I never rossinied. But these two do. Magnificently. So now I can say I have rossinied, albeit once removed. And that I do like, when it is rossinied like this. (There has to be a witty appreciation to Rossini's musical wit, does there not?)
It must be a joy for Spyres and Brownlee to sing this thrilling repertoire while reveling in the masterful contributions of Myra Huang--no mere accompanist but a true and worthy collaborator. One has the sense that her work here is spurring on these two terrific singers (both in magnificent voice) to even greater heights. Certainly, her knowledge of Rossini's idiom (in both buffa and seria works) is dazzlingly complete. In this regard, the most apt comparison I can muster is not with Gerald Moore, but with Marilyn Horne.
This Pianist is Superb... If heard both of the singers so the singing is my piano and the piano is my singing try to change it when you are hearing a piece it's funny:)

E' vero l' estensione vocale di Spyres è impressionante. Sono due grandissimi tenori e dispiace che non esistano tenori italiani così grandi nel canto rossiniano.

Thank you so much for sharing this... we're relatively isolated here for good opera, and it's a pleasure to hear the next best thing, with a recording of one of the best concerts I've seen on video, ever-ever. My favourite part here being the slow section of Donala a questo core - the way they feel each other's singing is just marvellous. They're clearly very tuned in together, and people I know who have sung with them both say they are both very generous and gracious singers. Exactly who we need at the top of the industry.
This performance is just magnificent. Michael Spyres & Lawrence Brownlee are just outstanding. They are fantastic singing together. All I can say is, Wow! Thank you so much for uploading this. I have enjoyed it immensely.
Ok. Michael, 29:25 is unfair. That’s just unfair. You can’t just drop 4 octaves in 15 seconds. I’m a bass and I can’t even sing that low. I’m suing you for emotional damage 😂
