- Since we picked up a new Canon R5, it was teh perfect time to shoot some crispy 4K 120fps of the MTS Spring kit working on the X3. To do that, the MTS crew came out and helped us adjust the settings including ride height, crossover ring height, High and low speed compression, and rebound, at the Boulders OHV area, to see what my 2021 Can Am X3 XRC is capable of with just a spring kit. Killer dirt thanks to the rain, killer day, and a great group of guys to help get dialed, learn, and get ready for the revalve, which will be in a future video.

Any tuning worth it for the smart shocks?
@@mattdamron1827spring kit is an absolute must on SS. The factory fox valving is really good and doesn’t necessarily need aftermarket revalving.
I'm have MTS springs being installed on my 22 Can Am MAX RR RS with SS at Addiction motorsport in WA tomorrow. Are there any videos or reviews available, that you are aware of? btw love my chupacabra mirrors @@willcrain6786

@@ghector6710 This video is a review of the springs, we also did a video after they valved the shocks too.
Haha and this is just a spring kit! He doesn’t even have valving done! Just wait til the valving gets done 🔥🔥
This guy knows whats up! Valving will help keep those tires on the ground!
OUTSTANDING!! I talked with Greg and Jeep a couple months ago and they are SUPER nice and they know their stuff!! Blown away that these are just the springs! Hopefully you do another video showing the differences with the valving!
Thanks, and that video will be coming soon!
@@ChupacabraOffroad Looking forward to the next video! Side note, is this video with the stock valving that the RR came with?
@@deranged731 Yes this is stock valving
I’m not a Can Am fan but your X3 is a sick ride!
Thank you, excited to see what they release later this month...
Great content. Love my MTS setup and of course Greg and Ned!
Mts the best in the game, I have my 2020 xrc done and it is a beast in the dunes. Ned and Jeep are tuning masters!! I highly recommend them, you won’t be disappointed !
Appreciate your support!
@@mtsoffroad no problem👍🏻👍🏻 you guys deserve all the business you can get, great customer service!! So thank you 🙏🏻
Mts is the best in the game 👊🏽👌🏽

Let's do it!
day n night difference 👍🏼
Heard your speed is in a sea can on its way from the factory
I need do mine soon
Does the MTS improve the pro R walkers?
Yes they do- they’ve done a lot of Pro R testing since they were released
Big improvements! Ask Dylan from Dirt Life Media, hes got the same car!
@@mtsoffroad eehhh….anyone else for a true non biased review
wen can you expect your first drive of new speed. ! your fans cant wait to heare....
I have always worked with the other shock tuners on my yxz, but I just switched to a pro r ultimate and I’m on the fence. No complaints with anybody just debating… my problem is I use my car for everything, dunes, street miles, rock crawling. Any thoughts or suggestions? I would say I ride pretty aggressive, don’t like to follow. Lol
Hows the 33s doing?
Thanks for doing this video, much appreciated sir.
Now would you be willing to share the full setup spec you ended up with that day?
MTS seems to want to run quite a bit higher ride height then what Shock Therapy generally recommends ( 16.5" front 16" rear )
But you ended with as much as 18 front 17 rear, right?
Where did you decide to end up with the crossovers?
Did you set respond full soft both front and back?
As for high speed compression, when you said 1 or 2 turns. Do you mean full soft or hard as starting point?
Where did you set the low speed compression?
Thank you.
Tire size is a big part, since having owned and driven the Speed and being blown away with it, I've lowered the front end of the X3 a little, I don't know the rest of the settings at the moment. It's very good, but the Speed is a whole new level and I've been driving that lately...
My opinion.. The sweet spot for an x3 on 32” tires is 17” of ride height up front and 16.5” in the rear. I’m right at 18-19° axle angle up front and 16-17° in the rear. My rebound in the rear is always faster than up front. High speed is usually 2-3 turns softer than up front, and I open my low speed fully in the rear. These X3’s bottom out up front like crazy and I very seldom bottom out in the rear being almost full soft @ said ride height.
32” dirt tires that is. On 32” skats 17.5” of ride height up front and 17” in the rear.
Ask Ned and Jeep about my tune. You will love it !! See you all at UTV Takeover.
On MTS website they dont have an option to tell them all the specific details of your mods and added weight to dial in the spring rates before checking out. Thats why i was going to go to shock therapy because the website asks all the questions before check out. I will be going MTS now that i know they ask all the good questions.
I agree it's important and I just ordered springs for my dad on their site and it asked all the same questions....
Reason I chose mts was because of there customer service 👍🫡
Awesome guys
