Thanks mate! We did think about the route of just replacing with what it had but I just cant help myself! 🤣 Made it a bit more useful and was a cool little project to muck around with.
Hello good job but one question why don’t you turn the box around so the bcdc is facing to the middle of the car and plug the fridge into the plug facing the back of the car
Hey mate, thats pretty much how ive found the best way to have it has been. Or so the DCDC is sitting facing the 'outside' on the pannel side. So the anderson plugs are facing forward/backwards. Just one of those things that didn't 'click' while making the video and then afterwards realising 'how did i miss that?' 😂
With the old batteries there a clamp, i notice you didnt add any clamp back? What stops the battery from hitting the top of the box if the box was accidently tipped on its end and now the battery is falling? What did you do to solve that part.
Yea there is there is no strap holding it at the moment. The battery itself is reasonably firm and stable in place, it cant really move upwards as the outlets and wiring are all quite close. Its not the best solution but its worked for the time being.
Nice work bud, id a been happy just to replace the old batteries myself ... Nice to see someone that can recreate a new beast, looks sweet!!
