the clouds were low and gray
when sweet music came my way
i took a seat upon a bench next to my path
and listened while notes danced in the breeze
they rose in wisps floating like steam above a hot bath
and with them my mood began to swing and ease
for the melody that reached out
carried aloft a message of hope
and cast aside feelings of self doubt
and with it any worries might elope
i stood and continued on my way
for it was as if that rest was a good omen
that fears brought on in colours gray
had been blown all away in one magic moment
