- Las Vegas Raiders Record Prediction for the 2024 NFL Season from Chat Sports’ Mitchell Renz, host of the Raiders Report. The Raiders strength of schedule is ranked 9th in the NFL. Antonio Pierce & Tom Telesco need to get the Silver & Black into the playoffs this season after Josh McDaniels & Dave Ziegler failed to do so. For the first time, Derek Carr will be playing against the Raiders, a game many fans from Raider Nation will be looking forward to. Las Vegas finished the season 5-4 with AP as the interim head coach so hopefully Gardner Minshew, Aidan O’Connell, Davante Adams, Maxx Crosby, Christian Wilkins can help the Raiders reach the playoffs and challenge the Chiefs, Broncos and Chargers for the AFC West title.

I would say a playoff berth depends on winning 2 of the 3 games against the Browns, Steelers, and Bengals, to get a crucial tiebreaker. If only 1 of 3 like Mitch predicts here, I think we're going to fall short.

Going to all home games this season, I predict we do much better than 9-8(AKA THE SAFEST PREDICTION YOU COULD MAKE), I think even with the Qb situation, we can go a 10-7 low side to a 12-5 high side. When our Defense is playing with a defensive hive mind, it will put our offense is positions to win, especially with pressure from up the gut, that we lacked as our biggest hole on defense and still were ranked top 5 when antonio pierce took over with Patrick grahams play calling. I can see Raiders will prove the league wrong. Their tough defense and improved offense will exceed expectation. If their defense ends up 1st at a best case scenario and offense does get better, I see Raiders 12-5. If they beat the Chiefs plus some top-tier teams like Ravens because of defense, Raiders could go 13-4. Being top defense in NFL in terms of fewest points allowed, and above average offense is no joke. Some of the top tier offenses can even lose the game because when defense is that good, it can disrupt the flow of the offense.
I saw, for example, in 2012 when Seahawks knocked off Tom Brady and the #1 offense rated Patriots. Seahawks that year were 1st in defense. Also knocked off Peyton Manning and the Broncos in 2014 twice.
If matchup does favor the Raiders, it can make league notice. Antonio Pierce changed the culture. I'm just being honest. Raiders could get additional primetime with a flex schedule.

Did you take our D-Line into consideration? They're gonna blow up a lot of plays. I doubt most teams will score 20+ points against us. Keeping teams from scoring 20 points only 3 times this season doesn't sound right to me. I believe we're gonna have a top 7 defense.

A 2 game improvement from last year is reasonable. 10-7. Last year's Minnesota loss was the difference between 8-9/9-8. So 11-6 is tempting. Give Aiden the reins, he should have a better understanding of the playbook to improve from his 5-5 record.

I'm kinda confused?? you say, " you think the raiders can have a top 5 Defense this year" and I agree, however your score predictions have them giving up 396 points this year. averaging out to 23.3 points a game ? not a very GOOD DEFENSE!!!
Thats because our secondary is garbage we struggle with big recievers so all team have to do is bootleg or mis direction, play action to slow the rush then just throw slants all day or an easy 5 to 6 yard each play.
