Once again Tommy, your spot on, a good portable for the new start up makes sense, you can do any job, high rise, etc.. with a good portable you can get good dry times, and be pretty damn effiecient with time. and let's face it, we all go into something not knowing if it's truely what we want, sometimes it doesn't work out, so minimize your initial investment till you know, then if it work's out , add a truckmount , the portable will never have been a waiste, you always need it when you can''t reach with a truckmount, also makes for a good back up if the truckmount goes down.
I started out with a prospector pe 1500 that I got from jondon 3 years ago. I purchased this one for the 1500 psi capability so that I can do tile cleaning with it as well. I didn't limit myself to carpet cleaning only, by adding additional services like tile cleaning gives you more ability to make more money! The total start up cost for me including the wands, hoses and everything I needed was around $8000. I know it's a big chunk of money to start up, but it's well worth it. Plus I am in las Vegas where I get jobs in condos on the 20th or 30th floors ect. So I can do these jobs without question and don't have to worry about renting a machine to do one job.
@@762ReBeL267 I actually started out with a Ford Transit van, just a little 4cyl thing. I have upgraded to a 2500 Chevy van though, once I started getting bigger, and requiring more equipment per job ect the transit was just too small
Quick question if I was gonna get into carpet cleaning business doing vlm with a orbot vibe and pad extraction method . Would you find it professional if I wrapped my new Kia Soul as my work van???
Another knock out, sometimes enthusiasm can turn into hasty decision making. Look forward to not so obvious business aspects to consider before laying the one two k.o..
I appreciate your content but at time your logic doesn't add up. You said it's hard to get a customer into a client with an Oreck orbital because it "doesn't look professional", and you said your truckmount set up will look much more professional, but that is not VLM. So I fail to understand what the difference is, in terms of how the customer see you, between an Oreck and a 175 orbital...?
I have and I feel equipment is to pricey and building the business info is very general. Remember they’re in the business of selling equipment in my course I recommend equipment and my building the business info is real life without all the fluff. This is why I created my course there is nothing out there like it but this is just my opinion good luck to you anyway it goes

Hi, anyone hear of drymasters ? They presented me the opportunity to get in the carpet washing business. Has anyone heard of them?
