This ad was put on shortly after my cousin was ran over and killed. His mum started a campaign for road safety and the boy in this ad looks so much like him. RIP 10 years today Dan 💔💙
These adverts were my favourite to watch as a kid. We'd always see them at school during assemblies and I remember falling in love with the Tim Burton-esque art style.
This ad was brought out very soon after my cousin got ran over in '07, he was on the news and everything because his mum was distraught, except, he did stop look and listen. This time he was chased by bullies, the worst thing is, in this advert the boy looks just like he did. To make it worse, the female version looks just like his sister (who is still alive)
Lizie PBX I hated the adverts, every time theuy came on (usually when I was watching a KIDS show) I had to change the channel or leave the room because it resembled him so. The advert was quite distressing, I mean, I know it's a serious matter but there is definitely a better way to put the message across than terrifying the kids.
If you were anything like me, (a British kid growing up in the early 2000s) you too were psychologically scarred by these adverts. I still haven't recovered...😱
I’m a grown woman watching these for the first time and even I’m scared shitless. I’m glad I didn’t watch these in the dark but I don’t think I’ll sleep easy tonight...🥺
Babies and toddlers in 2021 are lucky because they didn’t grow up watching tv when scary adverts come on you don’t get these kind of adverts in 2021 but in the 2000’s they were everywhere and they scared me for life why was THINK so over the top with their adverts.
Always stop, look and listen and then crossing the road when the cars and vehicles are not there and still driving 🚘 by people, no running off and stay safe with your friends, parents, brothers, sisters and friends when you're crossing the road and that's the rules.
This scared the hell out of me when I was a kid but the amount of time I've nearly been hit by a car from running across the road in my life I think maybe suggests it didn't stick with me...
Your not truly British if you weren’t shown this in school
Came here to ask what the fuck is wrong with you Britain?!?!?

Hello phamily
Don't we all...
i remember that shit
This traumatised me for years... IM STILL TRAUMATISED
You’re still alive though so obviously the advertisement worked as intended to keep you safe.
I have a brief memory of watching this in primary school. Now that I look at it again, I wonder how I didn't end up being traumatized.
Maybe it’s because you were an edgelord in the making.
you can tell how effective this psa is due to how many people who were scared by it.
PSA's are good if they scare you
This shit scared the shit out of me man started seeing shadows in the corner of my room
As a British person I remember watching this as a kid at school
I am still a kid and now mentally scarred
Now THIS is what I like! about time we got some real scary adverts back! seems like they were going for 'Dark and scary water' type thing here.
My friend was home schooled I still made sure he watched this to ruin his childhood
we were shown these in assembly and I was trying to find them for ages and now I’ve found them again 😩
It's so beautifully animated, I want to draw them.
r these ads banned coz I haven't seen them in ages
they just stopped
They were shown in my school yesterday
If you were anything like me,
(a British kid growing up in the early 2000s)
you too were psychologically scarred by these adverts.
I still haven't recovered...😱
THESE TERRIFIED ME IT WAS SO CREEPY I WAS LIKE 8
Keil Lapore same dude
nice to know we all shared the collective trauma of being shown these PSAs in school
Not fun fact: I got so traumatised by this I switched to nick jr for 3 months so it didn’t scare me
LMFAOOOOOOO
I feel like these adverts actually worked tho, was terrified of the road as a kid after seeing this lol
YO WHY DID THEY REPLACE THE HEDGEHOGS WITH THIS THE HEDGEHOGS WERE FRIENDLY
man these ads scared the shit out of me as a child. im 19 now and they still give me the creeps
I had nightmares about this for years as a kid
I still can’t believe they showed us this in like year 2 of primary school
the fact i had a notebook with this ad on it and i used it to draw, oh my childhood
THESE FUCKING PETRIFIED ME AS A CHILD ON CBBC WHAT THE FUCK
I HAD NIGHTMARES FROM THESE
Those kids at the end are just flexing
this was traumatic in primary school why were they showing me this at the ripe age of 6
I cried when these come on when I was a kid
Okay, but like this will scare and scar kids....
I’m a grown woman watching these for the first time and even I’m scared shitless. I’m glad I didn’t watch these in the dark but I don’t think I’ll sleep easy tonight...🥺
What happened to the cute hedgehogs???
Remember watching this in primary school and being scarred
This unlocked an unwanted memory.
These ads scared the shit outta me when I was a kid! They were very effective though 😂
I'm a recent graduate looking to get into Advertising. Your videos are a great study aid. Keep up the good work!
jeez these are more terrifying now then in primary school
Never went outside for a week after this
Babies and toddlers in 2021 are lucky because they didn’t grow up watching tv when scary adverts come on you don’t get these kind of adverts in 2021 but in the 2000’s they were everywhere and they scared me for life why was THINK so over the top with their adverts.
You can never have fun with a broken leg! It's practically British law!
THESE WERE MY CHILDHOOD NIGHTMARES
people who grew up in Britain remember this absolute nightmare fuel
They really tried to traumatize us into doing the right thing
Always stop, look and listen and then crossing the road when the cars and vehicles are not there and still driving 🚘 by people, no running off and stay safe with your friends, parents, brothers, sisters and friends when you're crossing the road and that's the rules.
This is nightmare fuel
Holy shit, bring back those fucking hedgehogs.
this scared me shatless
This shook the young British population so hard
i remember this from tv i must have been like 7yrs old wow im old
This is the reason why we got nightmares in primary schools
This scared the hell out of me when I was a kid but the amount of time I've nearly been hit by a car from running across the road in my life I think maybe suggests it didn't stick with me...
This is some twisted nostalgia
Well the ad worked
I was born a mere *5 LITERAL DAYS* before this was released
a fuckin classic, this is the only reason i ever looked and listened, i quite like not having a broken leg, daft wee boy
I suppressed this advert and I've just found it again
THEY SHOWED THIS SHIT WHEN I WAS 7
THIS IS THE REASON I HAVE NIGHT TERRORS TO THIS DAY 😂😂
I remember in assembly in junior school they would show us these
These still freak me out till this day
Oh nostalgia how I love you!
everyone: so how much crack were you on when you came up with the idea for this video
the advert creators: yes
NOT EVEN HIS FRIENDS WOULD HELP OR CHEER HIM! I wish I didn't saw this in my secondary school.
Jesus, this is taking me back a bit XD
I LITERALLY HAVE NIGHTMARES ABOUT THIS
Holy shit the nostalgia... not even a good nostalgia more of a repressed memory lol
I saw this at school today...
And now im crying...
The weirdest thing is that this wasn’t the scariest thing I was shown as a child
Stop look and listen baby now that’s my philosophy
It might’ve been the single scariest thing I saw as a kid but it definitely worked I was always careful when crossing roads so I guess it worked?
I just found these videos after like 10 years. I'm 15 now, they still scare me shitless
Still traumatised by this about 9 years later x
I absolutely shat myself watching this is primary
Cheers to this video for traumatising little me💀
This story scared me so much as a kid
I never wanted to cross a road again after that XDD
These were kinda terrifying but it defo got the message across
2016 and damn I still remember watching this in class💯
And this is where my primary school nightmares started from..
The UK can give me money for the nightmares I had
This gave me nightmares in year 3.
This traumatised me, now I still get scared crossing the road
primary school would promote this video non stop
I was terrified of this. I still am
This shook me to the core as a 9 year old
I- 4 years later and this is horrifying
I remember watching these and was traumarized by them ;-;
I STILL HAVE NIGHTMARES MATEE😭😭😭😭
This advert is suppose to scare you because it's showing this is what will happen to you if you don't understand road safety
