  • G'Day Legends,
You can go support Dave and the Habistax team over on Kickstarter in the link below.

or find some great resources on their RUclips channel! @habistax
I absolutely love this product, what a great way of getting height and planting throughout your whole aquarium with the ability to plug and play them into any future tanks with ease. I'm excited to see what Dave comes up with next, but to make that come true we need to support ventures like this.
    Good luck and enjoy!

Very Cool Blake, Thankyou for 'Highlighting' this awesome, interesting product. Looks nice initially, and I can imagine how Amazing it'll look when 'settled in' with time. All the best mate. Cheers

Interesting product, I like that it's black at least and will blend in better without standing out. Once plants take it could look quite good I think.

True, maybe they could in time make some in brown or green also, give some options

It would be really interesting to see how it looks when it has grown in. I think your point about offsetting the planting pockets is a good one and would minimise the amount of black plastic that is visible. I could imagine with mosses and small plants it could be a real shrimp tower too, which could be fun.

I've seen these on a few other RUclips channels and I'm 50/50 on the fence about them. I like the ease of use with them and I like the fact that it looks like a tree or column but on the downside me personally if it's not filled 100% you see the plastic from the actual item and I don't like that. All my tanks are "natural" decor plants ect so I'd have to plant them fully from the start. Oh I also like that you could move then tank to tank..

Personally think your suggestion about staggering the planting gapes is a very good idea! If they were to become available in South Africa, I'd definitely buy them for my tanks I don't want to be working on constantly. This was a great video for explaining how it works and what to do and not to do! Thank you

That’s cool. Be good if you’re able to stick a couple of black zip ties through and secure some driftwood and/or moss to help disguise it. Can definitely see the potential for this product.

Very neat idea. I do think I will still prefer the terra cotta pot idea that I "stole" from you 😉

Such a great idea mate hey. I'm really enjoying mine now the plants have settled into it. Imagine three or four of these spaced out along a long and taller tank. Could make some pretty terrific displays I reckon.

An easy way to help establish healthy bacteria in a new tank? Move a plant tower from an establish tank to a new one.

A personal opinion of mine: just like garden grow towers...these are kinda in the same boat.
Getting nutrients to go down to each plant. Root tabs are going to be a problem.
Top plants usually outcompete the bottom ones cuz they're closer to the light source.
It's kind of a quantity over quality type stuff for me. Trying to squeeze more plants into a smallest possible space for more production...
Not to mention that they're ugly lol. But then again, I like functional aesthetics. I'd rather put a terracotta pot into my tank than this abomination.
    Once again, imo.
