    Neat trick! Thanks.
Not sure when this feature was released, but now the Slicers can have Search option for Like matches.

Thank you very much for this video, very helpful!
My only pending question is, what about if I want to search for "IT" AND "HR"? Any thoughts?

New Power BI set the option of multiple select of a slicer to default BUT it set Multi-select option using Ctrl key as default, you can turn it off (still multi select but don't need to use Ctrl key) in the Selection Controls of the slice. The formula is the same as his video shows.

This is a great example. However, this works for "OR" search. Any idea how to tweak this for "AND" search?

Great video! Is there a way to search for multiple words on multiple columns? I updated the DAX with OR's (||) adding in other tables, but it is not working correctly and I think its because of the multiple words in the column. Any ideas?

Hi, I have an "i" icon in the visualization. It said that too many values, not show all data. So, in that case, Text Filter can find the keyword in entire the data or it just limits to certain first rows?

Hi Mitchell & all, thank you very much for your video, I was able to build a measure-filter in my table, it works well if my report is a table format, but if I use matrix format (cross tab) it doesn't work properly. Example, my table has 3 columns: customer name, product types and payment each time. The 2nd column could have multiple products, similar as your example table. The filter is product type, I created Product table as your Department. If I use matrix: row is product, column is customer, value is sum of payment, filter by selected product, it doesn't work. Please help.

Love this, really useful. So by using SEARCH, when you look for IT, would it return any row showing Audit (as the letters IT are present in audit)? What would the formula be with FIND instead?

Hi Bridgemasterx, SEARCH is case-insensitive so IT would be found regardless of the casing (it, It, iT, IT, ect..). The FIND function is case-sensitive so it would only return records where IT exactly matches the slicer on the report. The formula would be the same for both, the only difference is the case sensitivity.

In my visuals page I would like to have a text filter slicer that returns EXACT matches only. For example, if I punch in productid 100, I would not want to see a listing of all items starting with 100 such as 10070, 10045, 10060, etc. instead a null or no match search result should return as there was no exact match. Please help

Hi there, many thanks for this, that's very useful indeed and works pretty well with graphic visuals. However, I've got a table with several relationships but with no more than 180 records on the main table and every time I add the ISFiltered field as a filter, the result times out. Do you know if there is a way to optimise the function? thanks a lot for any suggestions :)
