Why is it that everytime there is a tidal wave, the people want to watch first instead to run. They will run when the tsunami is close and cry for help
most people think : "if this was dangerous someone would tell us" or "i'll just keep watching the show". sometimes you're the one everyone watches drown on youtube.
I blame the local police if this wasn't just rogue waves and/or a tsunami. Rogue waves can come from nowhere, I was at a beach once where the water was flat as a pancake and two large six-foot waves came back to back and plowed through most of the people in the water. It never happened before or since in my experience of years of living and swimming in the ocean. If this was expected, they should have closed the beach. That's what happens at our beach when a storm comes through or a hurricane is close. These waves can drag an SUV out in the ocean without breaking a sweat.

When you can see ocean waves in Nebraska . . . that means real trouble. Out here in California's Monterey Bay area we expect to see the ocean. If we can't see it . . . THAT means trouble.

Not only do people NOT get the hell off the beach, a common response is to walk out from the beach to collect sea shells, starfish etc.

The Municipality in that area had been watching the beach erode for years before artificial pumping sand in 2019 to extend the beach and prevent such.
As a person from Panama, I was taught to respect the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, always watching the behavior of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

Since I was 8 year-old, and I am in my 40s now, I knew how tsunamis worked. What leaves me speechless about these episodes is how people had no clue about what was going on. What are people taught at school?
I personally think people's IQ has severely gone down in the last 30 years. Just basic braindead, or U could say the Walking Dead, and if we're not carefully , they might just infect all of us.

I remember reading of an 8 year old girl who saved lives telling everyone that the retreating sea mean that a tsunami may be on its way. This is stuff I learnt in geography and science in grade 4 in the 80s. Again, how can so many people not know about that? I thought everyone knew it.

We all start out smart and wise but then adults frighten and hurt and brainwash into believing that’s made-up, or worse, lies, or worst of all, mental illness. And only what they tell you is real is. Because they were raised this way too. It’s all about brainwashing control… but everyone is capable of using their heart and brain and doing&being better, even if with help.
