      @@antarcticorb9197 He really seems to like doing these Q&A vids for as well. I am sure if he found a great podcast producer to work with and all that stuff he could share some totally legendary wisdom on music, life, love, and everything between. A podcast with a music legend like him doesn't really even exist right now, and would totally fill a hole that other musicians who idolize these guys never knew they had.They're only getting older; such is life.
      It would be indescribably great to be able to preserve and have the conversational thoughts of a legendary musician, many of whom we have only really heard three or four minute interviews for some big publication throughout their entire lives for the most partt, which also limits some of what he can talk about on a platform like Rolling Stone's youtube page. But there is just an aura of mystery surrounding those guys. If the wants to continue having an influence on modern musicians to carry on (lol pun) his legacy; the legacy of numerous rock n rollers, people and young musicians need to hear and soak in the mind of David Crosby in a long form, sit-down conversation with him and his fellow legendary musicians and people like him, if only to keep that area of music alive.
      A pod like that could do a ton of good, even outside the realm of music lovers or fans of his. By sharing the wisdom he has gained through years and years of living a wild life, everyone could benefit from that wisdom that only comes with having the experiences he has gone through. We gotta preserve the minds of these guys forever.

    If you are going into a relationship with a lot and your partner is going in with very little a prenuptial agreement is sensible advice. Don't be fooled by feelings and how they are the right one. Things happen in relationships and then different people come out that you never expected were there. Been there twice and the second time lost my home; yet I was absolutely sure she was the right one and that we were perfect for each other. Don't go by feelings alone as feelings can blind you to reality.
    Having said the above. Just make the prenuptial agreement a fair one. Each person retains what they bring into the relationship, but if you end up splitting, just divide what you brought into the relationship together. It protects both parties.
    It doesn't say you don't trust them but merely says we are all humans and as such don't always know ourselves especially others. So many people get fooled by feelings and over many years. I was together in my last relationship for ten years. She was like a Jekyll and Hyde.

    I worked at a veterinary practice for a couple of years. For some reason I was often chosen to assist with euthanasias and I found I was very good with the owners and their beloved pets during this difficult time. Here's the thing. When their time is near, your pet will start having good days and bad days. A bad day is one where your pet is too "lazy" to get up when you call or doesn't have the energy or desire to eat. Maybe you know their in pain because walking is difficult. When the bad days outnumber the good ones, it may be time. Many owners have told me their pet actually looked at them a certain way that let them know it was time. Every pet is different. When people have asked me when they should let their pet go, I say, "You'll just know." Hope this helps someone.

    • @fox2mike28
      @fox2mike28 3 года назад +1

      Yeah, I 100% agree. I think it’s naive and immature to assume that a prenup means the love between a couple is not real. And that is the key word: Being realistic and giving yourself peace of mind. As much as we like to think that love conquers all, financial distress is such a prevalent reason why divorces happen in the first place. The COVID pandemic has demonstrated that. So as much as a solid relationship is about being selfless, you cannot neglect your own peace of mind and financial assets in ANY way.

      Not so funny if you're the poor guy who wants to be able to please his partner & finds he just can't, or at least not that way. Erectile dysfunction can be caused by a hundred different things, & a lot of them creep up on you without you even realising - e.g. via diabetes, heart problems, medications you have to take. I love Croz's advice most of the time, but felt he could have said more on this. E.g. there are treatments that can help some guys - it's worth investigating. And, even if there's an erection problem, a guy can still please his partner in other ways - i would have thought Croz would mention that! But i'm also glad he said (in effect) there's other things in life to do & it's not the end of everything.

Now, during this pandemic, my husband and I, now 70 and 67 years old respectively, and our kids as well, would love to ask you whether it would be possible for you, after the disagreement that happened between you and Nash, to make a song for him to sing, and ask Stills or Young to get Nash composing a song for you to sing. this way, it would be nice to afterwards add both voices to the songs. We still hope to hear both singing together again. Love you all. And now, a question: after having performed in woodstock...what did you all do that night? Was it easy to leave the place? Did you stay long after having performed? Have you enjoyed the show or only performed and left?

    Prenuptial agreements don't say that you don't trust someone, it just says that you are aware that roughly 50% of all marriages end in divorce and that divorce can devastate a person financially and emotionally. Romantic relationships frequently come and go. There's no reason not to be prepared in case they "go" in your life.

  • @Piwork69

    I would like if you could unpack your mom’s advice further. By making someone else happy, is that in a practical way? Providing for them? Do they have to be in a less fortunate situation than you? I can see how a great looking girl with a sunny disposition, lots of friends, and decent career is probably not going to search high and low for me. Is that what she meant? Or is it making a choice to always think of the other person first?

    • @rafasounds-qi5rm
      @rafasounds-qi5rm 3 года назад +1

      It has to feel right. If one has to force it, its not right. Find someone whom you can complete, and completes you. We are all incomplete. Find someone whom you can somehow help make better, and allow yourself to be helped to become better too. Love is about many things, one of which is vulnerability. If you cant show vulnerability, it isnt love. If the other person does not show any point of vulnerability, its not love. They dont necessarily have to be in a "less fortunate situation", for this is so hard to define. What is less fortunate? FInancially? Emotionally? Everybody who looks for love is incomplete. One who thinks they are complete probably does not need love. Keep going soldier.

    Love ya, Dave. BUT...a PRENUP IS A GREAT IDEA. That considering that we've all fallen deeply in love and though a relationship was forever that didn't last. Look what happened to McCartney. He fell in love, married a woman without a pre-nup, and by the end of the relationship she fought for his money and said, "The Beatles was all John." And if you have a pre-nup, you'll know somebody isn't marrying you just for your money. But it's complicated. I fathom that.

    I usually agree with David on everything, but I disagree with the prenuptial. I’ve seen a lot of people get burned. To me it’s not saying you don’t trust them. It’s more like you don’t trust their family. 😂. Unfortunately people change. It’s a protection if both of you have kids. Your watching out for your family. Your adult kids can pick the wrong person and get saddled with paying their partner’s college debt if a divorce happens. A prenuptial is unfortunately a necessity.

    It is no ones job to make someone else happy. You are responsible to make yourself happy. I think it is an incredibly selfish act to blame someone else for not making you happy.

      I think the point is that marriage is about giving. You give, the other person gives, you both receive, you both give. If a marriage isnt about giving, it isnt about love, it isnt a marriage; its a casual and selfish union. This is what selfish is - being with someone else just because you want to take from them.

    Autoreply from askcroz@rollingstone; "The group askcroz only accepts messages from people in its organization or on its allowed senders list, and your email address isn't on the list."
    WTF? That's some bullshit!

    I love that David took the time to do these, but what about Graham Nash's determination? He had to create five RUclips accounts so he could keep disliking them.

      I find myself mostly agreeing with you. I love Croz as a musician, and he's lived a long, overall successful life.
      But, by his own admission, he's made numerous mistakes with drugs and personal & business relationships, and sometimes STILL puts his foot in his mouth.
      I def don't agree with his answers on prenups and impotence. Those types of questions should be answered on a case-by-case basis after consulting with, respectively, one's financial adviser and doctor(s).

    Absolutely get a prenup. You may trust her now, but you might not trust the person she is years later. If your parents have money, protect their inheritance to you. They didn’t work their whole life to see their money given to a women who is leaving you.
