    great video pal i am having issues with my car at the moment I have the Citroen Picasso 1.6 hdi 2008. I have issues starting her in the morning and runs like it's missing when it finally starts, sometimes it will cut out. Once the car is moving it will be fine for the rest of the day and start fine to. Would you say it is the camshaft sensor?

    hi my citroen c2 1.4 8 velve engine .. does not spark only cranks but does not start tried to change the coil pack still wont start and does not spark .. is the problem the crank censor?

    • @cagmito76
      @cagmito76  3 года назад

      it could be but it could also be a missing power or ground somewhere , or a computer burned out or a missing signal from another sensor depending on system . you need to do some tests to find out are you getting a trigger signal to the coil packs .

    Great job mate.
    How did you check the wires? With a circuit tester?

    This is the camshaft sensor, not crankshaft, the crank sensor is on the bottom pulley. I made the same mistake.

      you sure? the sensor is on the clutch bellhousing... and responds to the teeth on the flywheel rotating past it... flywheel locked rigidly to the crankshaft,rather than the camshaft.

      @@Droledopeyes it's fequently the same kind of magnetic sensor for both crankshaft, and camshaft. If everything's perfect the signals will be in sync and have a known angle between them. But say timing belt jumps a tooth... That would change the anglular relationship of signals between crankshaft/flywheel, and that from camshaft. Similar applies if engine has variable valve timing.
      Having a sensor for both crankshaft and camshaft, allows values to measured directly, rather than needing computed as being relative to the other, with an assumption of anglular relationship between them.

      @@stevecummins324 camshaft is on top of the engine ,crankshaft sensor is always near the large toothed wheel of the gearbox ,the word says it self cranking, and not to be confused with the gearbox oil sensor
