- UPDATED WITH MORE CLIPS
Snippets of good ol' hyperactive Michael Hurst from the 1980's to 2012 (NOT in order). Included are tv and film roles along with some rare clips of his stage work, the medium for which he is most famous.
Michael is a prolific actor, director, fight choreographer, stage singer, dancer, producer and writer who is famous here in New Zealand for his extremely physical stage presence (he has been known to climb to the top of a theater's rafters and swing across only to break a limb), on-screen versatility, and amazingly innovative approaches to Shakespeare (some clips are from his new solo play Bard Day's Night - formerly, Frequently Asked Questions - where he literally fights himself to the death).
This guy is something to behold when placed on a stage. By the time he was noticed by American producers in the early 1990s, he had already acted in about 100 plays, directed 26 stage productions, and cofounded a theater. I'm not going to even try to describe his current resume. He has unparalleled dedication to the NZ entertainment industry and has abandoned any opportunities to move to Hollywood. This is only a tiny sample of his work, since much of his focus has been on stage and is difficult to find.
...and you can set your watch to the growth of this guy's hair.
