A capable and honest sprinkler man needs to be paid a respectable sprinkler service rate by a smiling, relieved client. That's the first step. If he carries a sharpshooter with him and digs holes as if he enjoys doing it, then that's a good sign. Sunday morning church, followed by afternoon disregard of suggested idleness, tells you he's ready to get on with it and possibly finds his reward in easing the burden of his neighbor and next client. All you need is love... and money... and patience... and an attitude of gratitude... no matter how much it hurts.
My front lawn isn't getting any pressure since the main line was replaced. I'm wondering if something they did. Now I have to trouble shoot. Thanks for the insighful video.
PS. The 4 sprinklers on the bottom part of the lawn were puddling due to constant water trickling out. I wonder if there is a rock at some point between the valve and zone that's stopping the water. All other zones, even the one right next to it are fine.
Just moved into a new house with 7 sprinkler zones, wanted to add a 8th on a area in the back of the house that we want to plant grass, but they don't have boxes on any of the valve, so I bought a valve located and I get to look for valves so I know where to tie in.... Ugh
Kerry - I have an issue trying to figure out.🤬 I found that the pressure was low in zone 3. I located the t fitting that had a crack in it. Replaced all fittings and left everything exposed- left the water valve on but in the am saw water in the hole. It seems the pressure is pushing water through the top of the sprinkler head however when I manually test zone 3 pressure seems fine? I can send pics of my work if that will help. 🤔
iScaper1 ok Kerry I watched your other video on SRV valve replacement and solenoid. I just now switched out the solenoid no reading on my volt meter however it was still working manually? Is that normal? the diaphragm looked good and it didn’t appear to be worn. Should I still replace it? You will probably say yes after what I noticed....-->Also I noticed after I started it up again it still kind of still had water run down? Is that just water in the line? Another question why is it only that sprinkler head in zone 3 where I notice this? I know a lot of questions but this little project is really kind of stumping me.
I have a couple questions regarding low pressure in some sprinkler zones I installed. I can’t find any leaks and I blew out the lines completely. I’m so confused.
You might have too many heads on the sprinkler zone. You need to figure out the flow available for the sprinkler zone, then add up the flow used by the sprinkler nozzles. This is one way to determine if your heads are using more water than is available.
Could be a valve not fully opening, an obstruction in the piping, or too many heads on the zone. I would start the troubleshooting by opening the valve manually and see what happens. Make sure the flow control (if the valve has one) is fully open.

Definitions of how to be successful. Excellent advice.
FYI having sprinklers spray over the sidewalk is sometimes the only option. Factor in the massive trees in the grass and the roots they are producing.
Randy Randy what? Has nothing to do with it. It's clearly cost/labor. There's probably a shit load of overpour and utilities.

@@BetoTheButcher did you ever find the solution? I have the same problem.
Very helpful! I need to get my sprinklers working again because it is 103 F in the shade! lol
Kenzo Shibakariki
Wow, that's hot. Where do you live?
iScaper1 In the south central US -- August is probably the hottest part of the year here.
When gluing PVC together, do you not clean dirt and debris off the pipe before connecting the pipes?
Yes.
People walking the sidewalk must really appreciate the shower.

Just the Average Gamer wow lol I've never even heard of that. That some true hack job shit

It almost seems I might have another break somewhere but the thing throwing me off is the pressure seems fine.
If the sprinkler head leaks water all the time you may have a seeping valve. You can send me photos at: kerry@iscaper.com

Well guess what I just switched out the diaphragm and NO MORE LEAKS! 🤓
@@mickbrown815 That's great, you're officially a troubleshooter now. 🙂

Were did that other half of the pipe go that was leaking water
No way to know unless you dig it up.
Kerry, So did you run pipe under the sidewalk or what? Thanks for your videos!
Still on my list of projects to do.
I have the same problem. In zone # 4. The heads don't pop up.
But I don't see evidence of broken pipe

Thank you!
I will follow your advice
But how do you know if that was the feed
When the zone was on it leaked and when it was off it didn't.
What a way to water the sidewalk...
Amazing
Thanks.
Shooting water across the sidewalk forces people into the street, and should be illegal. What jerks.
