Not sure why anti-UV laminate wasn't used on the East window (the one with the blackout curtains). Also, the side deck was fine, but could have used some sort of pergola-like shading. It's hot out there.
Yeah, living in Dallas they should have known, the side-deck needed shade. Like real shade - a covered shaded area, not two umbrellas. But everyone's got a budget.
I hate fake shows like this that get people's hopes up that they can somehow transform a sh*tty living area into a $$$ maker. Go on Airbnb right now and search the Phoenix area. You can rent a GORGEOUS, 3 BEDROOM HOUSE WITH POOL in this exact neighborhood for $75/night and these jokers are claiming they're gonna get $150/night for a 360 sq ft renovated garage with no view. A place like this one they did goes for $35 night off season, and in season MAYBE $55/night. Take into account utilities, cleaning, wifi, etc etc etc and they will NEVER get their $40,000 (more like $60,000 without the fudged numbers) back. This show is a complete fraud.
