Do you rember that video about health statistics in the UK and America, I will tell you that Americans are richer and can afford healthier food, education, therapy and healthcare. And Americans exercise more than British people. Americans definitely eat more proccesed food and fried food which is why they live longer.

Great video. Ashamed to admit I agreed with more of these than I disagreed. "I'll get my coat!".
Christmas pudding is disgusting
Nandos isn't British, it's South African. Set up by a SA guy who employed a Mozambique chef called Fernando, hence NANDO's
True but it's become British by association. Like the hamburger is German but a lot of people think it's American or certainly associate it with the USA.
Nando's in Australia is a franchise and more like a McDonald's in style unlike the UK which is more restaurant in style
Nandos is by far the best fast food restaurant.
I only ever saw fast food types when I was there but that was a few years ago, things could have changed. I much prefer the restaurants. It felt odd not getting served the food
Chicken and chips in a basket. Expensive too.
Of course there are racists in the UK, anyone who says otherwise is delusional. There are racists in every country. In general would I say the UK as a whole was racist? no.

Listen kids. (by the way I love you both, I want to adopt you), here is a bit of advice. Do NOT do any content on the Royals. You will lose subscribers. Either the monarcists will get upset or the republicans will. My missus is a royalist, I'm a republican. We had a fight about this last week that nearly ended in a divorce. Just don't touch it.
Look everyone is entitled to an a opinion, it just so happens that my opinion is the correct one!
Well you're entitled to your opinion even if your opinion is also wrong 😜

Beer is definitely an acquired taste, But once you've acquired it, you do genuinely enjoy it.
also don't group beer and lager together.....beer/lager divide is a major source of tribalism between UK drinkers....
There couldn’t be that many people faking it. I love beer, cocktails are for pussies.
You could say the same for anything with alcohol in it.
Like it or loathe it, you'll be hard pressed to find a Brit who would want rid of the NHS.
we all want it, i think what we hate is how truly underfunded it is.
@Tyrone Ngubu Agree, we shouldn't deify the NHS or treat it as if its the envy of the world, because it isn't.
Except those who can profit by selling it off . . .
@@sameebah This is such a tired lefty trope.
The Tory government has been in power for two thirds of the time the NHS has been in existence. If they wanted to sell it off, they would have done so by now.
The NHS isnt something designed to make money, so why would anyone think about selling it off?
I want the NHS to be better, because it's the most over rated health service in Europe.
@@sandersson2813 - I didn't mention any party . . . So clearly YOU think the Tories are the ones who would sell it off.
A process which seemingly has already started, with the transfer of a significant number of GP practices to a US insurance company.
Gavin & Stacey is a character-led, narrative comedy drama about 2 families from different cultures and how they rub up against each other. While ostensibly about the named characters, the real story is the writers' characters Smiffy and Nessa - a lager lout and fiery emo chick (to oversimplify). Brilliant, loveable and eccentric characters, created by the supporting cast, fill out the rest of the roster. Well worth a watch.
I could be having an awful day and a Greggs sausage roll will make it infinitely better
it would have to be a very bad day if Greggs could cheer you up.
@@jeanlongsden1696 indeed, Greggs is shit, it's like the McDonalds of bakeries, cheap and convenient but you can get better just about everywhere else.
i miss proper small family-run bakeries.
Bakers Oven had the best sausage rolls, and then they were acquired by Greggs. Greggs food is terrible quality. Sorry, but it's true.
If I’m going to Gregg’s it’s for comfort not quality...
As a wise commenter once said: You're not going to Greggs because it looks good, your going to Greggs because you're hungry

It's not that we don't like the nhs, it's a really beneficial thing. Its just how they are run is the issue. Funding, availability etc
Totally agree with this, the principle of national healthcare is overwhelmingly supported in the UK, most people wouldnt want this to change but that doesn't mean it does everything well. In my experience the NHS does emergency care really well but less impressive with chronic illnesses and prevention (there is also an obvious postcode lottery with some things).
couldn't agree more. the NHS is pretty universally popular - but conservative governments (and Blair's labour) have tried to undercut it to facilitate privatization - which means it's running below its potential because it's underfunded, staff cuts, etc etc. and then certain quarters of the press (*cough* Murdoch *cough*) spin the narrative to suggest the NHS is crap and not fit for purpose. if it were properly run it would be spectacular. even not properly run it's pretty great.
@@harriedavies3940 A million times yes!
@@harriedavies3940 This, 100%.
@@harriedavies3940 As Noam Chomsky said, it's the standard method of privatisation. Defund, make sure things don't work properly, people get angry and annoyed, then sell it off to private capital. The NHS is just a shell nowadays. Much of it is privately run.
My house is a Football free zone! Husband, kids, none of us like it. We are also more of a coffee household, the only tea I drink is herbal. Indifferent to the Royal Family and grateful for the NHS, but I think it's definitely mismanaged!
Are you even British?!?
Yes
Same here, can't stand football neither does my family. My husband doesn't drink tea at all where as I drink lots of it but I hate coffee.
@@eddie9777 very much so 😁! My dad also hated Football, but he was a tea drinker. My husband comes from a family of football lovers, fortunately it didn't rub off on him 😂!
Sorry for your loss.
I am English and I have lived in Massachusetts for 3 years now. It makes me so mad when people complain about the NHS. Its basically free health care. My American husband went to the emergency room and after just not even 10 minutes attention got a bill for $500. NOW complain about the NHS.😡
If they where good there like Japan(and NHS) I would understand why you have to pay but America is weird
How is the NHS free? You pay through your National Insurance for it.
@@sandersson2813 we in the UK are quite aware that the NHS isn’t free ...... we pay for it through our national insurance tax that is very affordable and the amount paid is proportional to the amount that you earn.
Most people would be happy to pay more national insurance tax for a better NHS but you cannot trust the politicians to spend that extra money with prudence .... nearly everybody agrees that the NHS needs reforms from the top down but no system is perfect, the main thing is that we don’t need to worry about our health care and with the NHS there’s no expensive bills to pay for your hospital stay and treatment no matter how long it takes.
So yes we understand that it’s not free ...... it just feels like it’s free because you don’t miss your affordable national insurance tax contributions .
I said BASICALLY free. Meaning you don't really notice the NI as its not a lot!
It’s not free at all. We pay every month from our wages. Just because it comes out from wages doesn’t mean it’s basically free.
Love your content, just found you yesterday. My Britishness hates your cute couple thing but I love it also. You are delightful people. You should come to Suffolk, we all live in caves and eat our own young here!

NHS is honestly amazing compaired to any health care you’d find anywhere else
The NHS is amazing. I had open heart surgery 3 years ago. The treatment I received was second to none. I was discharged from hospital 4 days after surgery.
I am going now to get my self some popcorn, get the comfy seat ready and look forward to seeing the 2 part videos you are going to do and which topic you choose to tackle. 😂😂😂
There is massive support for the NHS, though everyone thinks it could be improved. Ther is very little support or even tolerance for the involvement of private for-profit firms (aka privatisation).
I talked with an acquaintance who had been the Chairman of one of the Regional Health Authorities - responsible for dozens of hospitals. He told me that he had found it hard / impossible to get them to buy short life supplies on a 'as required' basis. Hence they were forever throwing away drugs and other supplies whose 'use by' date had expired.
Another problem was the "Use it or lose it" approach that the Civil Service applies to budgets, which drives hospitals to use unspent money at the end of the financial year on 'something' that might be useful and ensures all the budget is spent. He described finding one hospital with thousands of beautiful bed sheets in stock as a result of such a budget spending splurge. What's not to like? Well the design of hospital beds changed after the purchase, so none of the sheets can be used, because they do not fit.
@Blanco WFC Well then, get yourself some private health insurance and be glad you can afford it. Most can't.

This isn’t about architecture or anything but it does make my town pretty special. I’ve heard that my town of Egham was actually inspiration for Dr Seuss’ book Green Eggs and Ham! He was briefly stationed here during WW2 but he didn’t settle well. His RAF host Flight Sergeant Sam Beckinsale tried to draw his attention to local amenities and people pointed out to him how green the area was (partly due to its proximity to Windsor Great Park) but Dr Seuss apparently retorted “I do not like green Egham”.....annnnd the rest is history 😂
1:46 I think the word they're looking for is "shittier".
I think that may depend on what part of the UK you are from. I would say shit/shitter and shitty/shittier.
@@anfski2000 I'd go with that, different meanings.
Shitter is less good.
Shittier is more dirty or mean, dishonest.
It is a common thing. Just add -er to the end of a word. Shitter = More Shit. All the vowel shifts are the result of people being lazy. Shittier is another phoneme longer, a dipthong too.
I would stay away from the royals for the moment (with the whole megxit stuff), but its a great video idea for the future!

saying alcohol is overrated in scotland will put your life in danger
I'm in Scotland and don't like alcohol. 😂
I'm Scottish and only have an occasional drink. However, there does seem to be a hype about it, when during the various lockdowns all the radio hosts went on about was "I can't wait for the pubs to open, to go for a few drinks/beers" etc. There does seem to be an obsession with alcohol from a fair amount of the populace.
Ok fun fact about my hometown. Prior to London, Winchester used to be the capital of England xD
Before that it was Norwich.
Beans on Weetabix? The world has gone mad.
You just cannot diss Christmas pudding, the Queen or the Tube :) ;)
Absolutely LOVE Christmas Pudding 💕💕💕💕
You can do the two on the royal family. I just need to dust and hoover two luxury rooms at the Tower of London first 😁👍🇬🇧
I like the queen. I'd trust her more than any of our politicians. HOWEVER, I trust her kids and grandkids about as far as I can throw them. Queens okay, but the rest of them are worth nothing to me and I rly don't trust them
Oh come on, I know you're probably joking a bit, but they're just people, it's ok to criticise them.
I love Christmas pudding, but you need cream with it. I also think we are probably a bit more racist than people think, but far less racist than the activists would have us believe. I can't believe anyone would be mean to Grace, absolute disgrace.
It may be that we give better camo to racists by our attitudes and penchant for violence (a la fisticuffs, none of that nancy gun stuff here...). However, if the claim that we are more racist than we'd like to believe is correct, you would be the prime example of how that is. This does not mean we are super racists (never met a nice south african, but that's not bloody surprising man...), but that we prefer to not see it.

I’d probably hold off a video on the Royal family in light of the impending Oprah interview and Prince Phillip being poorly (just my opinion) xx
Definitely hold off on it for now, now that it's happened the fallout is huge
Hell no. Because of that interview, this is exactly the reason you need to do a video on the monarchy NOW! 😘
Beer and lager are lovely. As are cocktails. As are wines. And cider. And guiness. And spirits.
I may have a problem :P
It's only a problem if you cannot afford it all
My problem with alcohol is the Tax and Duty on it, a bottle of decent wine in Spain is €2 and up, a bottle of Gin, Whisky or Vodka €6 to €8.
Not an alcoholic, just saving up to be one.
"Having all of the pints" - that's exactly the idea :D
I’m from the Us, and I love Wheetabix with cold milk, and a drizzle of honey!
I like the weather in the UK, except on the three days a year when it's hot and sunny or when it's pissing down. Spring and Autumn, when it's cold and damp or overcast and drizzly are are the best.
Every now and then it looks like Eric's hair is on fire
Haha! Hadn't noticed that
The term 'shitter' is, as the lady opines, a synonym for the US 'restroom'. The contraction for 'more shitty' is 'shittier'.
I’d agree with football culture bleeding into all aspects of society. Rampant, irrational tribalism has never been worse.
I’d also agree with the undercurrent of racism (it’s evident in football too). Just check Daily Mail comments relating to immigrants arriving by boat or anything relating to Meghan Markle and it’s plain to see.
Disagree about football culture driving rampant irrational tribalism, I feel our media and politics have a lot more to do with this.
I agree with this. And while I also agree that the media and politicians have driven the increased tribalism, the very beginnings of it's resurgence can be traced to around Euro 96. It catapulted certain aspects of patriotism back into the mainstream consciousness and laid the overly-simplistic, reactionary, and juvenile groundwork of what modern nationalism is based on.
If you don't belive there's a link look at how many nationalist groups are populated by people who identify as "football lads".
Poor Meghan. ...hahahaha.

We give America a lot of lip about how obsessed they are with sports whilst ignoring the fact that football hooliganism exists
No we don’t, lol we are just as obsessed if not more. It’s about the sports themselves that they love in America lol that’s what we mock
Yes, hooliganism is still a thing, in the 80's you could have gang wars over different teams, they got really really violent.
There is no much wrong with this comment, I don't know what to correct first. :D
I really like the idea of the 2 part series, I think that's a gap on the RUclips metric :)

As for the NHS, it needs more funding, and less people trying to Americanise it. (I can't believe you have so many people saying videos on the royals would be controversial, and yet nothing about the NHS? Perhaps they just think that it is too obvious to be worth mentioning?)

On a winter's morning, two Weetabix sprinkled with sugar then hot milk poured in the bowl (not over the top of the Weetabix) is a joy to behold. You get the sweet crunch of the sugar and top of the Weetabix, then the warm cosy soft Weetabix underneath.
Christmas pudding is vile. So is Christmas cake.
It upsets me to hear that Grace encountered a wild racist although I had already heard about this in a previous video. Indeed - it is the highlight of the year. This (2020) Christmas I spent Christmas alone for the first time in my life and dug out a artisan Christmas pudding I had bought in 2011. It was BRILLIANT, the extra long time allowed for the fruit to mature made it taste so wonderful.

Chrismas pudding is awesome, and a tip about Marmite use a teaspoon of it in a cheese sauce and you'll have the best tasting cheese sauce ever
Regarding the NHS, one of the issues is the government of the day changing the NHS Management as this is cheaper than actually investing in the service (known internally as re-arranging the deckchairs on the Titanic rather than looking where you were going).
As an example, during a 24 year period of employment at the local hospital the organisation I worked for changed 6 times while I sat at the same desk.
Each time it changed, all the documentation had to be changed to reflect the new logo and/or title (after paying huge consultation fees for the new structure & graphic designing), Director level appointments would change with many of the incumbents moving on to other NHS organisations with compensation.
Changes have included the NHS being split into 'purchaser & provider' units so that hospitals could compete against each other, the introduction of Hospital & Community Trusts..
This was to allow local groups to decide what was needed in their area (and the Govt to pass the buck). This led to more bureaucracy such as NICE National Institute for Health & Clinical Excellence to reduce postcode prescribing & treatment availability. As well as the CQC Care Quality Commission introduced to ensure that standards were being met & maintained, This had been glossed over during the splitting of the NHS into smaller & smaller pieces.
Mine is that Branston baked beans are clearly better than Heinz. The sauce is better
Deffo , we parred off heinz years back , branstons sweeter and nicer
All Heinz products are too salty.
You can buy the Nando’s sauce by itself in a bottle rather than going to the restaurant and get burned or undercooked chicken.

I thought i was the only one who did this.
@@DIRTYshizno347 see your not such a weirdo after all there's two of us 😂
My Polish friend says that the only way to eat Weetabix is with CHEESE.. . I suppose she sees it like a rather thick crisp bread!

The UK is indeed more racist than we'd like to admit.
Still much less racist than most of continental Europe though ;P ;P
Especially France..
Defiantly true for Romania I went out drinking with a Nigerian guy and people kept approaching us and shaking his hand, saying how much they respect his culture. I thought he was famous or something and he just casually said it was because he was black! That thought never even entered my mind
I think the 'plan in advance' bit it meant to counter the extremely expensive side of UK trains. I've been living abroad a few years now so could well be corrected if it's no longer the case but if you booked 2 weeks in advance and travelled off-peak you could knock 70% or more off the cost of a ticket bought on the day.
I priced a train ticket from Blackpool to London. £275 each way off peak I went online and booked it 4 weeks in advance and it was £20 each way off peak. That was in 2016.
21st of June for about 2 weeks will be an eyesore on the streets of the UK due to alcohol but an amazing period to be involved in and everyone will have so much fun. This will explain our love of alcohol and I believe its more the social setting than the alcohol itself.
Love Christmas Pudding but only a small portion as it is very sweet, with custard, ice cream or cream sometimes all three. If you do a vlog about the Royal family be prepared to open a can of worms, I love our Royalty but not necessarily all the family. Xxx❤️🇬🇧😍😘
So like anyone's relatives then 😂
@@dave_h_8742 lol yes so true 🤣😂.

I loooooooooove Christmas pudding. Eating cold Christmas pudding with cheddar cheese is delicious, cheese and Christmas cake also go nicely together
That sounds revolting! :(

9:25 - My town has a unique set of covered walkways one storey above ground level, with access to a second level of shops or other businesses
Would that be Chester by any chance? 😄
No definitely not a corn dog either as Savoloy or big pork sausage. Xxx❤️😍🇬🇧😘
Mostly, I watch the generally static dog.
Hi WRs! Loving the posts. My opinion on a future Royal Family episode is that it can be very decisive and so I would characterise it as "like and dislike" rather than love and hate. This would not change the content, but would I feel soften the blow.
I'm also sorry you experienced racism on the streets of the 🇬🇧 but the politics I've seen coming out of the US for the last 4 years reminded me of the pre-war politics giving rise to the rise of fascism, and I'm always shocked at the freedom of speech that allows Americans the right to tell you how much they hate your life choices and so on. This was brought home to me when I witnessed the Louis Theroux documentary some years ago with a far right Christian family who demonstrated outside the funerals of soldiers saying they were glad they were dead and so on, without any attempt to move them on. I mean, there's freedom of speech and then there's hate right...hence my proposition to you culture-vultures to change to like and dislike. Kevin x
Nando's started in 1987, the first restaurant opened in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Yeah but it's owned by Tom Oswaldtwistle from Lancashire.
Don't cover the Royal Family - please!
Thanks for letting us know!!
@@WanderingRavens yeah... people get really mad over that. Because they think they're pointless 🤷♂️
And all the controversy that has happened over the years involving them. Personally i think they make Britain. They are one of the biggest reasons tourists come here
@mike mars i say one thing and someone goes off their trolley.
Nice to see thats what you think pal 👍
Dont think people would come to the UK if we never had them 🤷♂️
@mike mars Plus they're German to boot :D
@@zachm25 I think you underestimate the many attractions our fair isle has to offer. Perhaps if the Ravens did do a video on the subject, they could give us their opinion on how much the royal family factored in their decision to visit.
tea is like crack to a lot of British people...
I don't find 8-10 cups a day excessive :)
Christmas pudding with brandy sauce or cream or brandy butter is gorgeous
