The PZ28135f4OSS is my favorite and my daughter's favorite lens, too, for photography, she loves this lens a lot. We don't do videography. This is one of the lenses a Sony camera to be bought.
🤔 I bought this lens for my dad for wildlife. I hope it doesn’t disappoint. Most of what he will be filming will be deer and turkey feeding or walking. Do you mean panning a running animal will be difficult or do you mean finding it quickly will be difficult?
Finding a moving animal could be difficult depending on the camera you are using it on. If it's on an a7 body and you don't have a viewfinder, a running deer could be tricky but not impossible. Birds would be harder. This is a great lens, and for deer or turkeys, if you can get close it could be really good, but generally for wildlife you would want something in the range or 400mm to 800mm or higher. But lenses like that can cost a fortune. Tamron and Sigma do make some more affordable zoom versions.
@@chrisatkinscanada Thanks for the reply. I didn’t mention or specify I actually bought two lenses for him (he paid, I chose and ordered). The cine lens for general purpose and hunting (animals generally have to be closer to shoot). I also got him the 100-400 GM for wildlife that is further away. If he’s not satisfied with the zoom I’ll get him a 1.4 TC. I’m not a fan of 2.0 TC’s. Too much loss of sharpness. And light too. He has the FX3 body. Tripod use of course.
Had this lens with a Sony a7R3 for the past 18 months. Recently it has begun to constantly refocus when in auto focus. Fine when lens set to manual focus. Any ideas to solve this problem?
Sorry to hear you're having trouble with this lens. I have not had that issue so I'm not sure how to resolve it. Are you able to take it back to where you bought it? Have you tried it on another camera?
Yes, the zoom control on the FX9, FX6, FS7 and FS5 will control the lens. I haven’t used the FX3 yet. I didn’t think it came with a zoom control but I could be wrong.
Flip that top handle around for better top down balance. It won’t feel as front heavy anymore.
Actually I have been doing that for several months now, it is much better. I need to do an update soon. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Cinema lens on the siii, its stuck. :) for some reason, the lens bag is left at home. What a killer combination!
Quick and to the point. 👍🏾
Thanks so much!

@@derrickrr5516 Very cool! The 100-400 GM is a great lens. Definitely for the tripod though!

try cleaning the contacts where the lens touches the body. look up what to clean with.
hi bro, can the lens servo be controlled by the zoom controller built-in of the fx9, fx6 and fx3?
