Ouch poor Charisma. I too get migraines. I've found things that help keep them away and keep them from becoming disabling. A book I would highly recommend is Freedom From Headaches by Drs. Joel R. Saper and Kenneth R. Magee. This book helped me figure out what things were triggering the problem. Two other things that really help is to drink water between meals. 2 coz glasses 3 times a day have done wonders to greatly reduce the chance of getting a migraine. There is a fruit called Durian that works better than a drug to relieve and prevent them for me.
I've used it for about 4 years now. It has a strong smell but a migraine is a lot worse.
Migraines are an inherited thing in my family. I think the book will help.
I'm glad you are feeling better.

Live that you adopt a "less is best" attitude which I think is great especially as you are quite young so being as independent as much as possible is a great way to go! When I got my first custom chair a couple months ago, I used it for less than a day before I realized I really needed to get a cupholder. I had watched this video a long while back and had added that cupholder to my Amazon list, so I got it, and I've used it every single day since it came - I can't go out anywhere without my cupholder.

I'm glad to know you are feeling better, Charisma!!! Your migraine situation makes me think you should do a video about remembering the caregivers. The caregivers need to take care of themselves as well!!! My grandmother had to take care of my grandfather through years of colitis, and Chrohn's Disease. She didn't get many breaks, and my grandfather didn't make easy for her, it took it's own heavy toll on her. Thankfully for you, Cole is super thoughtful and supportive, and wants the best for both of you. That was demontrated well, in your videos of your first road trip to D.C., with the fact that HE was the one who had the idea of introducing your "butterflies" safeword system!!! He definitely has a healthy level of love and respect for those who care for him!!! Keep up these videos!!! I abled, but I'm learning a lot from you!!! Lots of love from Maryland!!!

Wow! What a perfect video for right now. I'm in the process of getting an ultralight custom wheelchair and a smart drive (which is kinda like your power assist wheels)... I was with ONE DME and caught them in too many lies, so I had to switch, it put everything 3 months behind, and this video is perfect timing, because they'll be here next week to kinda "respec/review" everything for me. I don't have a SCI, but I do have a collagen disorder which affects my whole body and an autonomic nervous system disorder... these videos help me so much! Thanks!

The first thing that I do when I get a new chair is remove those super annoying anti-tip bars at the back! CANNOT go up and down curbs with those at all!
    Safety, so what about safety?!😂
But as a wheelchair user I'm happy for this informative video. There's so much to think about when getting a wheelchair that is right for you so it's interesting to see the different parts talked about and elaborated on individually so that one can better able break it down down in your mind in order to choose the best options. Thanks guys!👍
