Lot's of Poles were heros, who saved Jews, many of them was killd with all families and sometimes all villages, when Germans found here Jews. We the Poles don't accept betrayal - when some of Poles colaborated with Germans or told them about hidden Jews - our undeground army issued a death sentence on him. We, the Poles, have to be strong, because we suffered a lot for a long long time: 1795-1918 Poland doesn't egsist (read about partitions), Germans and Russians wanted to to kill Polishness, our language, history and culture, but they couldn't. Two world wars. And 45 yaers of communism (communism is worst than enything else). That's too much for one nation.
We abandoned Poland to please Stalin. If we refused to hand over Poland they felt that the Soviet Union wouldn't stop pushing west. We were cowards. Politically.
The nazis were savage but there is a reason why Communism is called the bloodiest (and the most cowardice) totalitarian regime of the 20th century.
