  • This was a practice doubles match between myself, 4.5 Boss and 50yo partnered with D2 Subscriber. D2 Subscriber is actually a training friend/partner of mine. We have been hitting together for a few weeks now, played many singles sets. This is the first time we are facing off against one another in Doubles. This video is a collection of some of the best shots and points of the match. Always fun tennis with these guys, looking forward to more in the future.

You guys have great hands at the net. Do you practice that a lot or were you born with it? 😆

Haha! Just the ocassional doubles here and there with some attempts to hit one another for the free point. You get to play much dubs?

Not currently, I prefer singles and only play doubles when my legs hurt or when the courts are too busy 😀

Sounds perfect. I enjoy singles a lot but dubs just brings a whole new element of fun and cahllenge for me. Always fun trying to mix 4 friends and add a little trash talk :)

Hey coach why do both people keep running up to the net is it not easier to lose because they can hit aa deep shot or a lob

Also at 2:00 why did you run in just in front of the service line

another thing at 4:16 why was your friend crouching right down the middle

"Also at 2:00 why did you run in just in front of the service line"
I'm guessing you mean in front of the baseline?
The server has a really good spin serve. Stepping in front of the baseline allows me to take the return at a reasonable height rather than it getting way over my head.
@ 4:16 D2 Sub was doing a play that doesn't allow us to know where he's moving after the server hits. It's a smart play to keep the return team on edge and catch them by surprise. My partner hit a great return though.
