Finishing WIPs is so satisfying! Even when it's not me, but someone else doing it. You have a great sense of style and I feel your hair didn't look half as bad as you thought it did. Looking forward to your next video!
I sometimes feel I don’t have many WIPs going, but this video made me count them and 🙀 I have 3 currently on my couch, plus 4 in my yarn stash cubes, a big one on the floor, and 2 on my bookshelf. One of the projects on my couch is technically 4 because it’s a pack of cat toys so I’m doing them in an assembly line fashion. These aren’t even counting the ones I’ve abandoned in a project bag… 😅
i also recently went back to finish some wips that have been sitting for a while (like over a year 😅), not as many as you but still were weighing on me lol. finished a cat sized couch, redid a shawl i wasn't happy with, started + finished a bolero/sleeves i had bought yarn for and never started, and am now almost done a cardigan. have a couple other wips that are just scrap yarn projects so i'm not too pressed to finish them right away haha
I surprise myself when I think of how many projects I'm actually actively working on rn lol... I think 5? knit cotton hoodie, crochet polo, crochet cardigan, knit duck plush, and a knit mohair vest. But I also have the yarn and patterns for a white sweater that I'm going to felt designs into and a shaul for my sister.
loved this vlog!! it's so nice to listen to you talk about your projects, what you're working on, and you just have a real knack for vlogging! i currently have one project (i'm a max 2 wips type of guy), which is my first knitting piece! it's a scarf that uses multiple knitting stitches, so that i can learn them! i'm finishing it right now, only a few rows left :) one thing about it is that i was really stubborn when it comes to the yarn i wanted to use (it's a sock yarn, the thinnest i've worked with) and now i kind of regret it, bahah. i mean, i love the result, but i kind of wish i didn't spend as much time on it.
active WIPs I have about 4, inactive WIPs that I DO plan to finish, probably 6-8, unfinished WIPs from when I first started that I'll most likely eventually unravel... 10? 20? 80? are we counting individual granny squares bc.... idk what to do with all my practice squares but they feel so sentimental I don't want to unravel them!! every so often I'll pull them out and compare them with a recent project and it's so nice to see that level of progress. maybe my OG very first try granny square can get incorporated into another project, like a sweater with one side having that first ugly square and the other side a very advanced/fancy square... high concept lol. I don't know!! what have other people done with their unfinished absolute beginner projects?
I’m currently working on one of my wips I had to frog while watching this 😂 it’s a granny square stitch blanket (I made the first row of chains too tight and it started curling into a C, which I figured out on the 8th row. It’s for a full size bed so that was a few hours of work I had to frog 😢) and I’m also working on a bag for a Christmas present, but I need to wait till I get a little more money (which I should get tomorrow) so I can get blocking squares to block it before I connect all the pieces. I think that’s it for my wips as I just went through them and finished much as I could (with the exception of one in my car that I need to frog) due to wanting to clear up space
This was a lot of fun to watch, Emma. Thanks for sharing with us. I have only three WIPs and already have anxiety, so kiddos to you for keeping it cool with 11 😊
Do you use a certain website to make the bird patterns or are you following someone else’s? I have a lot of drawings I’d love to turn into tapestry’s but I’ve never done it before
I make them myself! And I use Stitch Fiddle. It's a free website!! They've been making a lot of updates recently that are super cool and make it easier to design on there.
A good way to get started is putting your image into a pixelator and then making manual adjustments. You can use ones suited for cross stitch, perler beads, etc.
this is a very fun video! you could do this type of video more often if you also liked filming it :) I love seeing the proces and I'm sure I'm not the only one
Getting towards finishing my son's Mondrian cardigan. The only other wip I have is a cable crochet sweater for my husband but I am waiting on cabled Tunisian hooks for that. We live in Bulgaria, post from abroad is slow but those hooks are now in the country at least. In between I want to make a Halloween granny square motif sweater for me. Lol.
I'm suddenly obsessed with and want to make all the cute little sweater vests. You can pull them off so well, so I'm gonna try to make my lil' twink body do the same LOL. Wish me luck!
I am just finishing my only real wip at the moment! I do yoga after work every other week and am going to start doing it at home so I needed a cute bag. I'm in a loop of abandoning projects at the moment so that's it. 😭
I enjoyed this so much! I have about 4 WIPs right now - two are so close, one I know I'm just going to frog, and another is black and I just need to sew and weave in ends but its black, why did I do that I will never get it done
I’m trying to use up all the yarn in my stash and most things I only have one or two skeins. And as a fat person that’s not enough for any clothing item but is too much for most amigurumi 😅. So I started making a bag for my projects and then I ran out of yarn because I did not realise how big it was going to be. I have so many scrap yarn projects now it’s so funnt
oml i loved this... very nice to know i'm not the only one struggling with what feels like a million wips at once lol (and the urgent need to start a new one at every turn) i've got at least six wips just with me (and then a million more i'm storing at my parents' house while i'm away for school)
I currently have two unfinished projects, a pair of gloves and a pair of socks. I dropped both of them because I didn't want to make the second part of the pair 😮💨
Can we have more information about the commission for Emma chamberlain? I feel like that’s something really interesting and unique and a side of fiber art/artists business that we never really see or get the behind the scenes for
Is the house vest based on a pre-existing pattern or chart? I’ve always wanted to make something similar based on the houses in my neighbourhood but have no idea where to start!

Genuinely love the bird theme of so many of your pieces

Omg I'm in LOVE with your duck and pigeon vests! Do you have plans to release charts/patterns of either? Im obsessed.
I really like the format of this video!! It always fun to see progress being made on projects when I hardly see progress on my own haha
You inspired me to pick, organize and finalize years old WIPS. Thank you

Lovee WIP videos!! it’s really motivating to me to get thru my sewing projects and so cool to see others’ creative processes
I love WIP videos!! You have an amazing color palette for things so you gave me a lot of inspo- also love the birb
So nice seeing you crochet! You've given me the motivation to finish my projects hahaha
I watched this while working on my own crochet project. It reminded me of crocheting with my mom in the car on vacation.
I have a small fan I turn on my blocked things. It speeds things up quite a bit and its small enough to store easily.

I’m a beginner knitter and I really struggle with crochet, but I REALLY want a pattern for that pigeon vest, I must try🫡🐦

i really like this sort of video! it's giving me some inspiration to pick my projects back up :)
this was a really fun video!! also inspired me to work on my WIPs haha. your WIPs are so cool!!
omg, please make a crochet pattern for the pigeon vest 🥺🙏❤️ I would buy it in a heartbeat

Great video! I'm currently working through my wips and it's so satisfying. I was actually working on one watching this. Love the pigeon vest! ❤

@@madeinthemoment awesome! That pigeon one is adorable!

I use those laundry sheets! So easy to throw in the laundry bag instead of the heavy jug of goop. I will never go back 🙅🏻♀
apparently i've only got 7 wips, i was expecting more. can't wait to see that houses vest come along!
this is a very fun video! you could do this type of video more often if you also liked filming it :) I love seeing the proces and I'm sure I'm not the only one
It was super fun! I’m glad other people are enjoying it too :) I’ll definitely do another one of these!

and you're a literal style icon!!
I have 6 WIP’s going at the moment… 3 knit, 2 crochet and 1 Tunisian crochet. And that’s my maximum I’m allowing myself to have at once! 🧶🪡
I currently have like 4.5 WIPS for crochet, a bunch more things not started in the queue, & like 8 sewing projects in the queue
This was so fun! Thank you for sharing!
I'm suddenly obsessed with and want to make all the cute little sweater vests. You can pull them off so well, so I'm gonna try to make my lil' twink body do the same LOL. Wish me luck!
I didn’t know you’re the duck vest designer! I love your videos and your patterns!!
I love your hair like that! It reminds me of the hairstyle from Liquid Sky, just slightly shorter!
based on that tier list we have very very different taste in music lol. love to see some wips getting finished! let's see if i get any done soon
Thats the same as my rescued pigeon Birdie, very pretty!
Great video! Your projects are so unique and fantastic!

I just have one project I'm working on right now! I have a list of others to do though lol. I need to make a bunny hat for my daughter now!
“I have to make a pigeon vest for…. Something important”
I love this, I personally have 4ish projects I'm working on but put them all on pause to crochet a basket to hold all my wips 😂😅
me when i put my wips on hold to make a bag to take my projects with me 😂

Okay but I'm absolutely obsessed with pigeons and I want the pattern so bad
Late to the party but how do I learn how to make the pigeon vest that you crochet?? it is absolutely adorable
“The degree of the situation I’ve gotten myself into”. Same. And I don’t even craft…..
I currently have two unfinished projects, a pair of gloves and a pair of socks. I dropped both of them because I didn't want to make the second part of the pair 😮💨
how do you knit the ribbing on the crocheted vest? i want to do that but i can’t figure it out ☹️
I have a tutorial for it on here!
I have 6 WIPs at the moment which I really consider a medium amount🤭 I started 2023 with 12 WIPs and that was really too much
At the current moment I have 9 works in progress, ranging from blankets to amigurumis.
love my special guest star on the phone w u

omg your guts ranking is wild i haven't seen anyone say pretty isn't pretty is skippable
I have 3 ongoing projects
I started a new project as I started watching this video 😅😅
Sooo that makes 8 wips i think?
8 for crochet anyway… not to count all of my other fiber crafts
working on my projects while watching this to pretend I have fiber friends irl
I have 23 projects at the moment
