Great video. Wish I would have seen it prior to servicing my Mitchell 308. I made the mistake of removing the gear with all the tiny ball bearings. Luckily I noticed what I did and put it back together before losing any. I was concerned about the operation of my reel because it is different than other spinning reels. I noticed a slight stall in the spool movement in and out during operation but see this one does the same so I assume that is normal operation for these reels.

Hi, I have a couple of 300's that I like a lot. I am thinking about another Mitchell for an ultra light rod that can be bought for $20-35. The 308 seems to be a good choice, how about a 304 as well? Thanks

Will you work on a mitchell garcia 307 for a price? i need a head replaced as i stripped out the head threads when i broke off the bail screw...i think i need the head replaced with one that does not have the threads stripped out...i see a new old stock head on ebay but hollow without those bearings or whatever is inside the head...dont think i can or should do that...would you be willing to work on it for a price?
