I wouldn't give the actors credit; they both agreed to do this series, knowing Pamela didn't want it made. They profited off her pain. Their 'good people' schtick is insincere. Actors have the power to turn things down.

I love how much emphasis Stan is endeavouring to put on the fact that their privacy was hugely violated, and it’s not just a sex tape.
well thats because the general population made such an uproar about it as if it was a publicity stunt. I remember my parents and other adults just absolutely trashing them over it for months. Since I was pretty young at the time it took me deep into my twenties to not think of them so disparagingly.
It was such a weird case at the time. I remember some how always seeing it as their tape was stolen. Unlike the sex tapes of other celebrities that followed which seemed more like boyfriend revenge.
The irony of saying that it wasn’t right while promoting a movie that is going to trigger millions to rewatch said tape seems to be lost on Stan and lily
yea and you can see it on his face when Jimmy is just laughing at the situation calling it celebrity porn and completely missing what Sebastian was trying to say.
I love that he stand on what he really thinks about it and not just go with the flow and agree with Jimmy on everything
It's easy to turn the Pam & Tommy situation into a joke because it's entered pop culture as the first viral celebrity sex tape, but mad respect for both Lily and Sebastian for making the point, in the face of all of Jimmy's jokes, that this is a real couple who had a private tape stolen from their home and sold on the internet without their consent. It was a disgusting invasion of privacy and should really be taken more seriously.
It was interesting how Jimmy didn't pick up on the clues they gave out early. They clearly have a different mindset of their characters, and he just kept rolling with the "huh huh I saw them have sex' thing. They did a great job here though. I'm actually more interested in seeing this now.

It really sucks that u can tell that they wanted to speak of the show and their work in a serious manner and that they took their roles and this story very seriously, especially considering some of the backlash they've gotten about the show, and Jimmy was just making jokes the whole time and trying to get them to rag on the show and the people they played. With how nervous they said they were to play Pam and Tommy, mixed with how seriously they seemed to take their roles like they've talked about in other interviews and the controversy that is surrounding the making of the show, u can tell that they wanted to treat and speak of both Pam and Tommy, but especially Pam, with as much respect as they could and jimmy just wanted to laugh about Seb in a thong and question whether or not Lily actually liked Pamela before the role. And how he brought up the thing of Pam being distracted by herself in the monitor, he just wanted to make jokes about her and make her out to look stupid. Idk it just seemed uncomfortable to me, because they wanted to present the show a certain way and that wasn't how Jimmy wanted to speak of it.

The acting is amazing. In real life, these two are nothing like Tommy and Pam. But they managed to transform themselves into pretty accurate representations of the real individuals.
I’m still amazed by how much the makeup team was able to literally change Lily into another person. It always amazes me when I see a clip of her as Pamela and then suddenly the camera pans on Lilly and it’s a whole different person. The facial structure and body was transformed it’s very impressive
Bravo to Lily James! I have no doubt that the show-runners wanted to get Margot Robbie for this series to capitalize on "I, Tonya" success, and Margot was, "Yeah, No! I can't endure the inane stupid questions everyone will ask while promoting this series". Again, bravo to Lily James for enduring the stupid BS questions during promoting this!
I don't know if Margot would have looked as perfect as Lilly does in the role which is by no means a dis on Margot Robbie I love her and think she's a fantastic actress. And while she didn't really look like Tonya Harding and still absolutely KILLED the role , I just can't see her taking on Pam Anderson. But I do know Lilly James is freaskishly on point in her acting. 90s Pam Anderson perfection.
Margot definitely isn’t the one for this role. Lily is owning it, not just physically, but all-around! Excellent casting, both her and Sebastian! I am enjoying this series so much! Can’t wait to see more!! 🤩🤩

I think they both seem awkward about Jimmy cracking jokes although they knew he would. Lily’s nervous tics whenever she’s in an interview are constantly moving her hand and touching her hair. her nervous tics are always there actually if you watched all of her interview pre pam & tommy. but i just feel like for this series promotion, her level of nervousness and anxiety kind of reach it peak(?) i hope she’s doing well. love you lily❤️
I mean I couldn't imagine being on an interview that's going to be seen by millions of people... I was once unexpectedly interviewed for just a museum's RUclips channel and I can't even bear to watch it. It's much harder to keep your thoughts straight when a camera is in your face...

I think this is the first time she’s had to be so public since she and Dominic West had their well publicized fling in Italy a few years back and Dominic West was (still is) very much married when the pictures came out. It was a whole scandal with Dominic flying back to his wife in England and doing a weird photo call outside his house with his wife all smiles and kissing. He literally left a signed note for the media that said “We are still in love and still together.” Lily was left looking like a moron and the “other woman.” She got pretty burned by the media for that so I could see her being super nervous for this interview.
she’s anxious like this even her Cinderella era..she doesnt do hollywood interviews/shows and events thats why....she only did several guestings through out her career from 2015 cinderella. I think this is her first guesting in Jimmy Kimmel, once in Jimmy Fallon with Mamma Mia, twice in Graham Norton, twice in Corden show. Shes quite anxious during tv guestings i notice 💗🙏🏼 love her

Correct. Something similar happened to Marilyn Monroe. She had posed nude for a calendar when she was an unknown actress. It resurfaced when she became a star and almost made her unemployable because of the morality of the 1950s. Pam was trying to move past her old image and become someone respected, and then this happened. Unlike Marilyn, she wasn't forgiven or sympathised with by the public.

Watching the first episodes you can tell they really put a lot of love and effort into those roles. I remember Pam and Tommy in that era, Lilly and Sebastian NAILED IT.
You can tell when actors really study the role they are playing. It’s hard for Sebastian to joke when he really understands that it was an American Crime Story with two victims..

I'm on episode 4 and I'm so damn impressed with these two! Lily James nailed the role of Pamela A. She's got the accent, the voice, the mannerisms, everything! As for Sebastian, he was outstanding as Tommy! He had the energy, the exuberance, and the mannerisms as well. I was really impressed with his performance and I see big things for him. Well done!
When they kept announcing "Lily James" in this roll, I had no F'ing clue who they meant, but if they'd said Cinderella or Lady Rose from Downton Abbey, I might have been able to spit up my tea on them? WTF? I'm thrilled for her though, she's an amazing actor, & that's an incredible transformation.

I just finished binge watching the mini series last night.

Sorry Jimmy but just bc you were disgusting when you were young on "the mans show" doesn't discredit how the world looked at and treated Pamela Anderson as a woman. It was completely innapropriate, like people are allowed to make sex tapes in their homes...without you judging it...so that's about enough of you reliving your weird youth Jimmy...

I thank playing Tommy Lee has something to do with his level of confidence now. Everybody keeps saying Anthony Mackie had a lot to do with them which yes I think he was a part of it but it’s definitely playing Tommy changed him.
