My tips: Go to bed early. Sleep for 9 hours daily. Journal your thoughts. Journal when you are anxious. Write down your fears without editing anything out. Then, write a possible solution that you can think of. There is always a solution to everything- even if it is the solution that I don't like. Watch funny movies, videos. Trust someone with your anxiety. But, make sure that person is not manipulative or jealous of you. I made the mistake of trusting a lot of shitheads with my anxieties and worries- they gave me even more anxiety which led me to take the wrong direction. Some of them directly sabotaged my future dreams and plans-because of which I lost years of my life. :( Trust your gut when it comes to who to let into your life. How they make you feel is usually an indication of whether they are a good person or not. Don't be in controlling friendships or controlling relationships. Try to live without social media. Delete Facebook, Instagram, twitter-unless your source of income is through these. Check your email only once a week-and even then spend only 15 minutes. Check WhatsApp only once a day-spend no more than 10 minutes on it. Switch off your notifications on your phone. If someone really really wants to speak to you, they will ring you. People survived and lived happily even before phones or any form of technology existed.

Hi Katie! I found medication didn’t help me during my health anxiety recovery - so when I removed it, I didn’t miss it at all. I’m mega-proud of you for deciding to take a natural approach. Just make sure you taper it down with your doctor’s support because with medication comes biochemical dependency and therefore potential withdrawal symptoms to consider.
Brilliant video. I’ll definitely be listening to that audiobook. Just as you mentioned about reducing caffeine, I was pouring myself a coffee…🤣 only 1 coffee a day for me. I have found self- talk and meditation as well as breathwork to be so beneficial in reducing anxiety. But I know it’s something I will have to manage for the rest of my life. I will save this video for future reference.

It is true that aerobic exercise helps to decrease anxiety. I keep a log of my physical activities and mood, and I noticed that the two days I didn't walk outside my anxiety was increased. I have a more balanced and pleasant day when I get my walking in. Thanks for the video!

Just discovered this channel and I really enjoyed this video Meghan. It's beautifully done, and and as a person who deals with anxiety and depression I can confirm and use most of the stuff you talked about here. Just want to point out something though, and I hope I'm not being too detailed focused, but in case you want to enhance the audio in your videos just apply a low pass filter to the video audio, it's just something to filter out the low frequencies because there's a lot of low frequency rumble on this one. I don't know, I study audio and music production so I know that it should be really easy and fast to do. Thank you for the tips and good luck :)
One note regarding caffeine: I had always had intense response to it from my nerves and guts, but after I started practicing meditation everyday with focus on reducing anxiety, I stopped feeling that bad effect of caffeine. Now I can pretty much enjoy coffee without worry. I wish I could do something similar about lactose intolerance. Please, anybody let me know whenever you find a way around LI through meditation.

One of my coping thoughts is "I'm a good person doing my best," which helps with avoidance/stress due to guilt... (Like I have to reschedule an appointment or call to deal with a late bill, etc)

SuBaBa it’s certainly possible! A lot of things can impact sleep, but you can try cutting out the coffee for a week or two and see if that helps ❤️
