  • Me and my travelmate Galina travelled by hitchhiking all around Saudi Arabia in February-March 2023.
The country was opened for tourism just a few years ago and even now we saw a very few tourists.
I show how it is to travel as a female in arabic country which considering so conservative and had many restrictions for women in the past.
We continue to explore the mountain heritage villages of Saudi Arabia.
We visited Rijal Almaa, Al Meger and Thee Ain.
Rijal Almaa was a natural corridor linking those coming from Yemen and the Levant to Makkah and Madinah which makes it an important regional commercial center. The village consists of about 60 palaces built from natural stone, clay and wood, and the palaces consists of several floors.
Al-Meger Palace is one of the most beautiful historical buildings in the region. It is distinguished by its impressive Islamic architecture and has developed a reputation as one of the most important tourist destinations in the Kingdom.
Thee Ain (Marble village) is characterized by houses built from polished stones and dating back to the 8th century. The village includes more than 40 houses and a mosque adjacent to the river. Nearby forts protected them from raids.
Most of the time we stay with local people which invite us on the way. We spent time together with all family but I dont film local women because we respect the local culture.
    Enjoy watching ;)!
