Another awesome show! I just love how Mr. Patterson weathered the steam engine! I loved how he did it step by step instructions! This was a learning curve for me! The drone footage by Dan was just outstanding! Thank You! I love the segment with Bachmann Trains to see first hand on the new releases! This is neat! The Gateway N-Trak layout was just amazing! The runby's are always a treat! This is "The World's Greatest Hobby" The best people in the hobby! Till Next Time! MoPac Jack Model Railroading Is Fun! Be Safe!

only thing you forgot on it was the hard water staining running down the side of the tender and from the whistle and safety blowoff valves on the top of the boiler, but other than that it's a pretty good weathering job.

Hi Ken , i'm French , so excuse my poor english , just a litlle question Ken , can you explain to me the reason for which you initially use turpenoid and after turpentine, it seems to me that the two products have the same properties , Thank you , have a nice day , Phil

Ken, did I hear you say "waRsh"? You are my people!
In all seriousness though, do consider trying a rolling road when you're weathering a steam loco. I made a simple homebrew version with a 3D printer and some slot car bearings. The last engine I painted was preposterously easy because I didn't need an extra hand to wrangle the locomotive.

Great weathering for a steam engine. However I'm not sure what the oil wash at the begining actually did for the overall effect. Loco looks good, tho.

Another really good show! I especially liked the segment on weathering steam locos. The segment on the Gateway N-Trak was excellent too, although to two members you interviewed were rather underwhelming in their enthusiasm.

As a person with breathing problems who can no longer use a airbrush and who lost a friend back in the early 80's from skin absorption from model railroad paints. I had to skip over the weathering segment when I noticed that you were not wearing any PPE.
