If y’all want to get all pious about how wrong it is to adorn yourself with jewelry, then y’all need to stop adorning yourself with fancy cars and houses and suits and degrees too (men!!). Its a concept not a rule. Its about being attractive because of your heart not your outward appearance. But then White goes and makes it a rule. God gave the Israelites jewelry as a blessing and took it away when they were being punished. This is another reason this church upsets me so much. The doctrine makes sense. The rules and regulations make you judgmental and unapproachable. Force you to pay penance and suffer because you want to follow Jesus. I’m not a sinner because God mad me a woman and created me to like jewelry. I’m not a lesser of a Christian because i wear jewelry. Back then it was a sign if status. Now, you can buy cheap jewelry anywhere. It means nothing.
