I absolutely love what Hitch said about burnout. I know, for me, I am a lot like Nick, so when I wake up in the morning without a specific plan in place I get worn down really fast. I know that when I have a plan and really good time management in place I do not feel as tired in the mornings and I feel even more energized at the then of the day.
Burnout is more like a cycle we’re you can’t escape, it’s repeating process over and over until you feel numb to whatever is going on. You don’t even know that you’re getting numb. While you going through that cycle you also start thinking more, which causes mental health problems . You can’t leave cause you need to provide so you just stuck and then you feel burnt out all that working just to feel stuck. It might be two different things but they kinda connect to each other. You just have to overcome that thinking and keep moving forward and just hope for the best.
Loved the Podcast as always. Regarding burnout, you have to prioritize yourself the same way you prioritize anything else. Schedule de-stressing or relaxation time and do whatever you need to do: be it workout, meditate, watch a show, play a video game, etc. You have to take care of yourself just as much as everything else.

They proved they are worthy of being a top team in the league... it was heartbreaker for sure but I know now with LAN coming back the boys can go to work and prove people wrong even more then they did this major! Hecz try and put some Optic montages on the channel for specific years of competition in optic. E.g. Optic Dynasty 2015-2018, Optic 2014 season ghost season, Optic Bo2 season.
I honestly wouldn't mind running back Cold War for another year. It'd be a lot different since most likely all of the events would be on LAN with an audience. Plus we could possibly see league expansion next season. This game is really close to being a top tier competitive cod. The map pool is really damn good and could possibly see the addition of Standoff. The weapons could use some tweaking and a viable flex gun needs to be brought back.

H3CZ has that old Mexican man mentality, my dad and oldest brother are the same. I’m talking 3-5 hrs of sleep a day and they’re ready to go or have to go. Meanwhile, I’m the type to take a day off work if I had shitty sleep. It’s crazy I feel like me and my other brother are more stressed or prone to anxiety working from home/office setting than my dad and brother who work more physically demanding jobs.

I think there’s a lot to learn about mental health that RUclips comments will not be able to accurately educate you about, Hecz. I appreciate the hard work you do and the mindset you try to instill on those around you. It’s a great one to have! But Nick makes a great point about how people are born differently and their chemical makeup differs from others, so burnout or other similar feelings are legitimate struggles for them. Just saying “I get mental health is a thing, take care of your mental, but...” makes that statement feel a little less genuine, you know what I’m saying? Not trying to attack in any way here, love optic and everyone involved, just offering some additional perspective. 💚

I downloaded Ghosts on the PS5 the other day and it’s so god damn fun. Any kinda throwback (if a delay is real) would be so fun, BO1/2 or AW or Ghosts would all be a great watch for tourneys and competitive
