Swades is masterpiece. Defines another way of patriotism. Classic difference of right (Gayatri Joshi) and left wing ideology (SRK) and in the end both parties accept a third alternative which was mix of both. I revere Mohan Bhargav.

Sometimes Back I recommended my colleague to watch Raj Kapoor's "Teesri Kasam" and Gulzar's "Mausam" even I gave him links, I said sometime we should watch old classic movies also. He said he will watch when he will get time. Since then he watched many other movies like Lust Stories; Race 3; Veerey Ki Wedding and many others, but he never got time to watch such classics and I m sure he will never get the time in future too 😆😆.

There are only two types of movies, 1 which are well made with good direction and cinematography and all other aspects and others are not well made .Cinema is an art which is many times used to pass a message among audience sometimes not but that doesn't make the film good or bad . A movie with a message might not be a well made movie , it may have many issues of screenplay and direction sometimes acting even , and sometimes if a movie if made properly without any message or moral lessons can be equally or more compelling. This being an IAS related lecture i can see the point about morality and integrity being part of movie but it is a narrow perspective to look at the art of film making.
