    My high school had this exact same system, they used Westminster chime(0:47) as the tardy and passing bell, Ping(0:31) as the 1 minute bell right before the tardy bell, and all-clear(0:39) as the attention tone before an announcement(daily bulletin, someone needs to come up to the office, earthquake, fire, and lockdown drills) comes over the PA system. I loved the sounds of this system, but sadly, it is gone now. The phone system was upgraded district wide to this new Algo VOIP system, the new bell tone sounds like a TV censored bleep 🤬 and can be loud and annoying. They also attempted to program different bell tones into it since it is a computer based system, like they tried to add a thunder sound effect to fit the theme of the school because we are the Titans. Also, it’s the same tone for every bell, the 1 minute bell doesn’t have a different tone anymore, and there isn’t that great of a tone to catch your attention before an announcement coming on

    My high school I go to has that exact same model.
    Pulse 2 (1:20) is used as the “start of day” bell as I call it.
    Ping (0:31) is used the 1 minute warning bell, also used as a bell after the fire drills have ended.
    Alert (0:11) is used as the beginning of class bell.
    All Clear (0:39) is used as a warning bell that the fire drill is about to begin.
    Hi-Lo (0:23) is used as a fire alarm.
    Page (0:04) is used as a bell when lunch starts.
    Westminster Chime (0:47) is used as a dismissal bell.
    Conclusion: Not many are left, as they are being replaced by modern ones such as Bogen Multicom 2000s, my high school will be next in the near future. Rauland is superior than modern technology!

      @@jaredmauriello9522 Yes!! Although, I'm not sure what the precise adapter you're talking about or how rare it is.
      However, I used one of many "speaker wire to line level" adapters that can easily be found off eBay for cheap, wired it up to the exposed speaker terminals I found in one of my highschool classrooms and managed to record my hs's bell with it (see my "Class Change Bell - National Time and Signal Chime: 530hz" to hear it).
      I look forward to any updates regarding this and your system, consider me subscribed!

    • @jaredmauriello9522
      @jaredmauriello9522  3 года назад

      @@AudioTestsNReviews Yes it would be a 25v to Line level adapter. I still don't have one though although I plan on purchasing eventually. Now you say that tone in your video was recorded from your old HS speaker? Do you happen to know if it was an older or newer system? More than likely it's Rauland but that chime is not from an ICS system although it's a similar variant. The one in your video is more sharp sounding and the ICS is more white noisy sounding and at a very low bit rate.

    • @AudioTestsNReviews
      @AudioTestsNReviews 3 года назад

      @@jaredmauriello9522 You'd be better off getting on purchasing sooner than later, especially if you get one from China with their month+ long shipping, goodluck.
      And yes, the 530hz recording was made by tapping into the positive/negative terminals directly thanks to my computer engineering classroom having this unique speaker on-off switch that exposed them.
      The intercom system it had was definitely older, I've actually wondered myself what the system is, considering I've heard many similar bells on youtube but mine sounds different in how the chimes are timed. Also it seems my school's bell volume was set to clip the amplifier hard, hence the "sharpness" actually being significant audible distortion. Occasionally the bell will play abnormally, with random levels of raspiness (static and sometimes being unusually quiet), some episodes of which gave me clues on how it would sound without the clipping. The system completely stopped working in late 2013.
      After it broke, the school quickly replaced the entire system, which started off with them using a "800hz pulse" tone, then they quickly changed it to a "800hz chime" (thankfully to most. but the chime's now a little too quiet!). Interestingly the mechanical bells now ring a whopping 20-40 seconds before the intercom bell. Its paging tone is also now identical to my elementary school's paging tone, which instead has a "830hz chime".
      In case this helps, here's the best photos I got of the actual (old) intercom rig itself, as well as microphone-audio of the old bell, old paging tone, new bell, and new paging tone: drive.google.com/file/d/1pEW_llsd9Vk3mhk5HGGra0carNEjqCA6/view?usp=sharing
