  • Today we used the premier attachments H015PD on the Kubota M7060HD12 to set posts for the new horse stalls. The auger was fan off of the factory third function.

    The stable really looks good. The hydraulic auger did a great job. You all have come along way. The lighting looks good also. You all must feel good about what you have accomplished - cheers

      You are absolutely right about the accomplishment feeling. Also saving close to 100k on labor feels good too but not on my back lol Thanks for watching Bob!

    Nice looking work. Just a tip for anyone using an auger…… in dry dirt I auger down to the desired depth, then to get all of the loose dirt out, I put some water in and reverse the auger direction. That will push the water to the bottom of the hole and mix it with the dirt. Then turn the auger in the normal direction a few turns, stop and lift out the mud.

    Dude. What it takes to film this stuff, nobody knows, until they have done it. Your videos are a prime source for my education, thank you so much for the effort you put in to share your knowledge and experience. I see your agaravation, I know that look. Please keep doing this.

    • @HillsideAcres

      It makes everytihing twice the work when trying to film for sure!

    This video makes me want one of these even more. I just wasted all day yesterday drilling one lousy hole with the 3 point. Rock hard frozen ground and was shearing hardened bolts. Spent all my time working on the auger instead of just putting the post in the ground. Also really leaning towards a hydraulic pounder, but can't justify the price. Keeps costing me a lot of time and aggravation and will reconsider though :D

    Full watch and a thumbs up Richie. You answered a question that I had about the auger being reversible. Sweet unit. Made short work of the digging of the holes.
    Congrats on the subscriber count. See you for the next one.

    Very nice set up, both the auger and especially the stalls you are building!
    I hire a guy to bore holes for the pole barns I build for customers, he has a skid steer and a auger very similar to the one you are using.
    Lots of holes, good job

      We have an amish contractor lined up for our new building to go up in December. Im sure thats how they will be setting the perma columns. Then they will use a crane or large telehandler to set the truss's. Thanks for watching!

    Looking good 👍 I got a pto powered auger stuck once . Two hours later with a four foot pipe wrench and a pipe on the handle . That was enough for me 😂 Hydraulic all the way now . 👍

      @HillsideAcres  2 года назад

      The small building i used the pto one for height clearance reasons. It was miserable compared to this thing lol. Thanks for watching Stephen!

    Thanks for the video, I have been looking at the Premier front post hole digger for my tractor. They now list a tractor mount that offsets that drill to the right side for better visibility.

      A lot of them do that! I’ve been thinking of fabbing and welding some side mounts but my time is currently very limited lol

    I'd like to use a 2" x 18" wood auger to bore tree stumps. I think I only have 9gpm. T474. We have 13 stumps to rớt out.

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 месяца назад

      Better off renting a stump grinder
