As a retired garage owner/ mechanical engineer ... I cannot believe all that mucking about with engines was in anyway cheaper than buying another second-hand truck.
Plus, that truck.must have been off the road for much time whilst all this work and 3 different engines etc were tried.
Little wonder they had no money ... all as odd as the unit itself.
The Buick automatic transmission does have clutches ln the main body of the transmission and uses torque converter.
Too cool 😎
Super. 💙 T.E.N.
Thanks for posting this . Nicely done.
Thanks
This presentation lacks a whole lot of info.
I don't see how a Buick automatic transmission can require a clutch replacement since it uses a torque converter instead of a clutch. Unless it was using a B&M autostick transmission, but this is extremely doubtful beca a B&M autostick is a drag racing transmission
I think they used the automatic between the motors, and used the stock transmission 😮I 🤔 ...
Automatics have clutches inside the transmission.

Right! When using two engines, you must allow some slippage between their output shafts. Otherwise, one engine can stall the other.
@robwiljas I thought they did,not exactly like a manual transmission, but same kind of effect 😕
