  • For this webinar we are happy to have Shaun Wu of Witteveen+Bos join us to share the current developments in 3d printing with fresh concrete. Along with the Eindhoven University of Technologies (TU/e), and Nanyang Technological University, Shaun has been developing tools for the design, analysis and fabrication of large scaled 3d printed concrete structures. He has recently shared his current research which implements Karamba3D during the simulation process to more precisely predict the failure of 3d printed concrete during the printed process.
The webinar will focus 3d concrete printing development of Witteveen+Bos , and an introduction of buckling simulation tool using Karamba3D.
Shaun Wu is a trained architect and computational design specialist, having studied at the ETH Zürich in Switzerland and Tamkang University in Taiwan. He focuses on computational design and digital fabrication, implementing algorithmic programming procedures on Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry, which enables a systematic workflow from parametric design to BIM technology. Currently, he works at Witteveen+Bos as a Computational Design Specialist within Digital Construction Group based in Singapore. He is involved in various innovative research programs and commercial projects related to large-scale 3D concrete printing and robotic applications.

Hi, the slider allows you to manually increase the youngs and shear modulus should you wish to alter this. This allows you to increase the stiffness of the concrete depending on your material

Awsome work, keep it up :). I would like to ask you how i can get this file build in Grasshopper for further learning or any course? Please suggest me. Thank you

Very nice presentation. I would like to know which code(karamba) generate from karamba3D ?

Hi, karamba does not generate any reports, however some of the current components are written according to Eurocode 3 (steel design)
