Do u know how to repack the exhaust or does the packing come prerolled it’s like a figure 8 shape having a hard time tryin to figure out how to repack them
On DMC's website they sell a repack kit specifically for the 916 and they say it works best on the 916 but from what I can tell it just looks like a flat sheet of packing material so I'm thinking normal FMF packing or whatever brand you prefer would probably do just fine as well. Without ever personally taking it about however I can't say it'll work for sure?
Always been curious do dmc alien fit with stock airbox? Cause like every one i see them running have pot filters Ah i never seen a close up like that, good to know they go around the airbox place and join un after the overflow coolant reservoir

This is actually the older model called the 916. The 998 is the new version that replaced the 916, the expansion chambers for the 998 is the same exact expansion chambers that came with the 916. Only difference is the silencer is slightly smaller on the 998 than the 916 but it's the same singular silencer so sound should be exactly the same!
I did have to do some fine tuning to the carbs but I don't remember any specific numbers. I did already have an exhaust system on it already so it was in the ballpark just needed a couple different jets. Hopefully I was able to answer your question somewhat 👍
I've only personally ran the DMC's and Toomey t5's on my personal bike so I don't have a very good comparison on power but I've always heard they're very similar in power and performance. Hope this helps 🤙
@@collinsatv4071 i currently have fmfs gold series on my 4mil banshee was planning on getting an dmc 916 ive heard the dmc 916 rev matches better but in top end its basically dead
@@thaakirsambo2101 the 916 has a usable top end with really good torque down low that hits pretty hard. I think it'd be a decent upgrade for the way your engine is set up though.
I love the sound they make, very different from all the other brands and definitely the best for all around! However I recently switched to a set of Toomey t5's as most of my riding is dunes and they're definitely a little better suited for that application.
@collinsatv4071 I bought T6's for my bike back in 2006 when I bought my bike new. Couple year's later, I sold to my neighbor and bought T5'S. Just made a video the other day about my XC build. I will go more into the motor in about 2 weeks when the rest of the bike is at the powdercoat.

@@collinsatv4071 DMC's are very cool!!! I originally did a MX build. Motocross type tracks. Big doubles, table tops and triples. This time the bike is more XC build. Cross-country, desert style, woods type riding, trail stuff. Kinda like your video I'm watching now on Florence.

Yes, they'll work with the stock intake system and airbox I'm just running k&n pods because I mainly ride dunes

After about 3 or 4 rides they definitely aren't fingerprint free 😆
How good do those pipes clear the cylinders t5 are always close on the left cylinder
My dad runs t5's on his banshee and my 916's clear the left cylinder much better then the t5's do.
