Kobe + Jatt and I think Zirene all usually hit master tier before worlds and during they decay down. But those 3 are all master level players
Pretty much all the analysts are high elo and all the colour casters are pretty low elo.
Very few of them really take the time (or even HAVE the time) to seriously put effort into a climb, though, so they don't really reach their full potential.
Tyler1 plays like 10 hours a day. Tyler1 is good but only because he sinks his life into it; literally. Almost all the Master+ players play like 6+ hours 5-7 days a week. If you're playing that much you BETTER be higher rank than people who work full-time jobs doing 40-60 hour weeks.
Jatt isn't a masters level player and hasn't been at that level for a long time. Kobe, Phreak, Zirene, and Azael are high diamond.

As great as Pobelter is, and I do love the guy, I think Pobelter is more of a wildcard. He can fit whatever role he needs in the Midlane, and can be a great complimentary player in pretty much any team. But building a team around him seems counterintuitive. He is the guy you get when you have solid roster, and needs someone to round it out, where Jensen feels more like the player you would want if you are starting a new roster, and need a solid foundation.
Can't argue with the import slot though, but isn't he getting close to being considered NA? Piglet is no longer taking up an import slot if I remember correctly, so I'd assume Jensen is getting close to full NA status as well by now.

Flameingsoul9 nah it's dying now that Aphro and DL are gone. The true rivalry in NA is always C9 and TSM. why? Cuz c9 can always make it out of groups as being the only team could touch them but not being able to beat them.
vang-tou Lee c9 is has always been a good, older team and had great matches vs tsm, but there is no dramatic history between the 2 teams. So I wouldn’t call them a rivalry, at least not in league.

vang-tou Lee uhhh just the consistently top 2 teams. They have more respect for each other rather than hatred. I think it just depends on your definition of rivalries and whether you think they are skill-based or drama/hatred-based.

I would disagree with slide 1. I understand their reasoning, but I think that option 1 has a much higher carry potential and a much deeper champion pool to choose from which is really tough to quantify. Plus, if you are going to use an import slot, that role is one where you could justify using it. I think you can build a team around one, but you cannot build a team around the other. Just my opinion
The question is who would you have on your team.
Jensen has always been top 3 mid laners in NA for the last years in my opinion and I also think he is the "better one" of those two, but I think Pobelter is much more reliable when it comes to "no matter the team he will do great things". I don't really think we can see Jensen play as the carry he is in C9 in any other team.
Pobelter has shown how good he is to adapt in almost every team he has played in the last years with a lot of different palyers/metas
Joaquin Navarro Joaquin Navarro I think you have a solid point! If Jensen plays for another team, he'll magically turn into a passive laner who won't 1v9 win you the game. Also, Pobelter has shown how good he adapts with different players/teams? Dude legit plays with an "all-star" roster that was expected to finish 1st or at the very least 2nd before LCS even started. Before that he was on IMT. POB is a great player but he wont 1v9 win you a game neither will he lose you the game. He was rarely considered top 3-4 when on mediocre rosters, but top 3 when playing with strong rosters. And now that Liquid is 1st, he looks like the best mid laner in NA. On the contrary, for a couple of splits now, Jensen has always been looking like a top 2 mid, even when c9 hasn't been looking good, he was still top 2 for a lot of fans, pros, analysts etc.
In my opinion what defines a good player is not how many plays/solo kills he can do for his own, neither if he can carry his hole team alone. What defines a good player is consistency, knowing when to engage and when to stay still so he doesn't throw a game. Pobelter knows how to play that way in every team he is in. Even if he has the best roster in NA at his side, if he isn't at the level to at least to get carried he would have been the weak point in every team he has been, and he hasn't.

Jaybib my dude. Jensen may choke but Pobelter has choked just as often. Only one of them has made it out of groups at worlds in 2 years.
And Pob couldn't win lcs even with og IMT. Sooo... if you're criticizing Jensen for choking, can't really dismiss pobelter from the same.
Jensen is the clearly better then Pob, Jensen always has being top 2 with bjerg and he has best worlds results. The only reason why pob is kinda shining atm is because he does wel in a meta where it isnt about mid lane. Every other meta where it was more about mid lane Pob was not even top 3 (Bjerg,Jensen,huhi).
They chose way to easy based on just the last 6 games wish is no where near enough information to put him in the top 3 all of a sudden.

DDK i think they are almost on the same skill level with POB being a little lower than jensen BUT pobelter has proven that he can work with many different team set ups whereas we have only seen jensen on C9 and as you might remember it took him a little while to show his true power so we don’t know how jensen would work in a new environment... so purely skill wise i would choose jensen but when building a team in NA that i’d want to have immediate success with I think i’d choose pobelter
