"like a hound dog on a porkchop!"
“where did all those germans come from?”
“germany?”
Did you see that? He flew right into my bullets!
-Joe ???-June 6, 1944
Or alternatively, “He’s on you like a tick on a hound dog”
@@whatthefish2082 "split S, hammerhead, just do something to lose that guy!"
Your not flying a tank
one of the first games I ever played on the Wii, this was the war thunder before war thunder
used to play with my dad, now i play war thunder by my self
So true. Played the whole series. Its a great game, still thinking about Joe at D-day. Might have been unrealistic, but it was also amazing.
Same dude!
@Cruasader Grel 07, the best mechanic
@Cruasader Grel No, I'm pretty sure that Joe was one of your wingmen. Frank, Tom, Joe, and then you, the leader fo the group. If your plane got damaged then you could ask Joe for help and he would give you a set of four buttons to press and if oyu pressed them all then your airplane would be fixed.
This is the first military history game that actually got me into learning about WWII. It will always be one of my favorite air combat games besides war thunder
USA USA USA!!!!!
Amen
Same. Got me into World War Two, I haven't left. Over 10 years since I learned of this game.
both arent "air combat" games 😅🤷🏻♂️ more like arcade shooters.
@@BratislavMetulski no one asked goofy ass
Do you all remember that cinematic with B24 pilots vs Bf 109s at the begining... Used to go crazy as a kid
Yesss!!!
Come on fellas, let's do it.
There's too much AA!
Here they come!
Mayday! Mayday! Somebody give us some cover!
Heads up fellas!
German.
Direct hit!
Nein!!!
Nice shootin' Cap'n.
When I was like 7 I immediately skipped it because of the pin up of a lady on one of the b-24s. I thought my dad was going to get mad at me for seeing it.
Oh Nostalgia...
I've got this on the X-Box 360. Absolutely nostalgic!
Andrew Montgomery Had no idea it was produced for Xbox! Have on PS lol
@@FSKN-Rossii I thought it was a Wii exclusive at first.
@@jaypostromboli-jpgamertv-457 the game is almost entirely different on wii😂 loved it
I miss this game.
Amazing game
Me too
Truly a masterpiece in my opinion.
First video game I ever played.
That music never gets old
I miss the wii lol.
This game too. RIP Joe
This music just popped into my head now, 12 years after I played this game. Reminds of my childhood. Wish I could stay that young!
We all wish that we could.
all the same here man.
I still hum it all the time
hearing this again made me shed a couple tears
This was the very game that kickstarted my interest in ww2, and honestly its become a big chunk of my interests and what games i play nowadays...This very game, for my entire life, will be the one that I leave as the one that defined a really large part of me because of how it got me into ww2...but not just that, it was the aircraft, the tanks, the men, the guns, the artillery, the stories, and everything in between. Blazing Angels, Squadrons of WW2, is and will always be one of my top 5.
Its really hard for me however, considering this fueled a lot of my interests today AND was also my first video game ever. And to make it worse barely anybody knows about the franchise. Im 16 now but I was 4 when I started playing this (and the 2nd one). 2nd one will always be my most favorite but number 1 is always going to be important.
FYI, you might know this, but whip that instructions manual and read it, it tells the story of it
Same here bro!!!
same
JonkknonbNon
I played this game so much as a little boy. What I hear the first three seconds of the song I go back in time
I know, and it hurts, alot. But Blazing Angels 2 for me hurts the most. It was my first video game ever, I was 4. Now Im 16.
This soundtrack, along with so much more, is what made me who I am today. I ended up enlisting in the U.S. Air Force and I'm a fighter jet mechanic.
That’s genuinely really cool, I’m glad you’re pursing you’re dream man
@@jeffbruh3253 thank you sir.
That’s awesome! Thank you for your service!
Nice
Icing on the cake would be if your unit is called The Blazing Angels
I want a remaster so bad man
Oh my god that’s genus
Pray for this...
Remaster or port of the Wii verison for Nintendo Switch is want I so badly.
@Nathan Allard It's not the same.
David Gonzalez remaster blazing angels for every console that would be nice I use to play this game on my PS3 but my disc broke in two perfect halfs
Ah my childhood.
Mine too man *sniff* mine too 🥺
*puts hand on shoulder* @@beaterofthemeater138 be strong man, be strong. I feel you
Me: *bawling*
“He’s on yah likka tick onna hound dog!” Man I grew up playing this on the wii, nostalgic for sure.
This game was awesome. Except for “Top Secret.” That mission was a bitch and a half, but I liked the rest of it.
was that the one where you were in a sandstorm just beeping the entire time? or the one where you had to fly in a ravine? because I have a hatred for those two specific missions. All the others were amazing, epic in every way
@@poplee6478
Top Secret was the one where you had to fly through the icy canyon. I didn’t like Desert Reconnaissance that much but it never gave me trouble.
@@jacksongibbs8998 Ah, yeah. My favorite missions would have to be Flying Fortresses(I wish I could use the b-17 in other battles), whatever the paris missions was, dunkirk, desert rats attack, and one of the pacific ones. Oooohhhhh I remember the one were you had to like fly in between islands and finally get to a massive fleet and torpedo them! That one was good too. I guess thats a lot, but I cant choose one lol
A bitch and a half? At least!!!
But, after I got the hang of the mission, I loved flying through there.
Word up, man. I had a passion for this game and still do, but top secret damn near made me quit. Trust me, I REALLY fuggin wanted to.
I play this theme all the time while playing warthunder definitely feels like I'm back in the good old days
This makes washing the dishes feel so much more exciting.
This and Battlestation Midway were my memories. I missed the old days.
Ever tried battlestations Pacific?
I want to cry... :c
Why did my grandma lost my game...
It's been 3 years now...
Try Amazon, I got both from there🤷🏾♂️
I must say, this game is single handedly responsible for my love of ww2 aviation. As a kid, I loved being able to fly all of the legendary aircraft from the era. The spitfire, the mustang, the bf 109, and the zero. I even learned of the first jet aircraft from this game. I mainly play war thunder now, but without this game, I would not have been interested in it whatsoever.
Summer 2007, my dad came home from blockbuster with a game he rented for our ps3, which we had only had since december of 2006. I was only 6 at the time, but I was fairly able to read and the game was called blazing angels. I still never forget having to turn the right stick to start the engine. The game was so fun, and considering I was raised on the medal of honor series for the ps1 and the ps2, this game was an immediate interest to me due to its world war 2 setting. I remember being wowed at the graphics for this game because I was so used to pixelated PS1/PS2 graphics and this game looked so clean for being 720p, as we had also recently gotten one of those old big sony WEGA tvs that had an HDMI port for 720p max quality, and holy god I remember thinking the graphics were so good and that they could never get better. This was an amazing and underrated game for its time, I hope we day we can see a remaster for it, but I doubt it tbh. I'm 20 years old now, time flew by so quick.
Damn bro you described my childhood!
For me, this was my childhood, the reason I'm into ww2 especially the planes, if you ask me, it's way ahead of its time, as it still entertains me now
The battle of britain, pearl harbor, midway, the Norwegian fjords, d day and Berlin were so amazing to fight on with that theme in tge background, it was grewt times
Those battles were amazing to fight? Bruh. The soldiers who actually fought those battles was a big miracle because its so terrifying and scary
@@Ijazkh i was referring to the game levels, i am very well aware the real things were what they were, and i do respect those who fought because not anyone was willing to do it, i mention those levels as amazing when gameplay and difficulty considered, and well no one geyting hurt other than pixel aircraft
@@revvingnoodle7192 ok if I hurted you with my comment im sorry
@@Ijazkh no it's ok, it's easy to misunderstand, but hey i get where you meant to say, so it's cool
This game was amazing when i played it as a kid. I always had trouble with the African Spy mission and the arctic canyon run, but i still played the hell out of it. My favorite character was Frank. Ubisoft doesn't make games like they used to.
the spy one wasnt a problem for me, infact back then it was the only one i could do. the actic canyon one however... that one level held back me, my brother, my cousin, and his brother for 6 years, it was impossible for us, until about half a year ago. also welcome back to nostalgie(the main reason im saying this)
The one mission I always couldn't do was Berlin. My 6 year old brain couldn't figure out u had to stay low to avoid Canon fire
I played this all the time on my wii
We were young once.
And share memories of a game that soared above the clouds.
Damn, even before Jesper Kyd, Ubi knew their composers and chose them well. Ezio's Family will always be my fav ubi theme tho.
when i played this game.....it felt like i was in the service it made me feel special ....like i did something with my life something worth it.
Im genuinely suprised at how many people remember this game. This game was my childhood i played it so much. This is possibly the most nostalgic game for me
This song makes me feel like a Blazing Angel
This game and it's mechanics were honestly way ahead of their time they were phenomenal
Just in this comment section with all these guys who shared the same little slice of childhood with me, remembering Joe, the pearl harbour mission, midway, makes me happy.
First experience I had with this game was on an Arcade Machine
Now, I have a copy on Xbox, and to my luck, it was backwards compatible, so I'll be settled with this masterpiece for a while
I actually know what you’re taking about!
I bought an Xbox 360 and this on Amazon to experience this again and oh man the nostalgia is insane.
What the Japanese heard during Midway:
I played this while playing WT and never felt that heroic before
This is the best video game soundtrack I have ever heard. I love this game and WWII Aces
i played this when i was like 8 or 9. Im now 15, still have the disk and still playing it. Its just legendary.
Started when I was 6 or 7. Haven't played much since I was 12, 8 years ago. (HS Chem teacher has the game now.)
When you find yourself going through hell... keep on going.
I cry every time
"Just don't drop another bog roll on the church!"
"I won't!... But yall will now line up the shot with the targeting camera!"
I played this theme when in combat with a Mig-21 and wound up taking a missile, surviving, losing an aileron to the gun, and then stalling out and literally turning the tables where I spun around and was behind the mic, and shot him down, before bailing out
this is my favorite game ever. i wish that they would make a remastered version of it for pc or let you get it for pc
Get rpcs3, a ps3 emulator for the pc.
I am almost 22 years, prety sure the game i get was a bit different since the xbox version didn't have the main caracter talking, unless in a cutscene before the mission, and the mission themself were a lot different.
But i still remember the setting...
So many years
Sad...Blazing Angels 2 for me brings back 4 year old me lol (16 now)
When i watched star trek ds9 s7 ep 8 The siege of AR-558, in the battle scene and when i heard the music of it, it reminds me of this theme
I know that part of the sece you're talking about. It's just after sisko said that they're staying and when he was asked for orders. He responded with that music in the background saying "we'll hold"
This and WW2 Aces were the best love them soundtracks were soo great
I wanna be a kid again 😔 brings memories!
I’ve never really enjoyed video games, but I bought this one to play with my uncle and fell in love with it almost immediately
i loved this game so much
This game and this soundtrack were my inspiration for learning how to fly in War Thunder. This game gave birth to generations upon generations of skilled pilots on PC, Xbox, and Playstation. The developers should be proud. They made a game that truly said, in all of its glory, "if you're going through hell, keep going" (quote from the game which was in fact by Winston Churchill).
Bruh deadass just got this game and the second and I love them
No game will ever top this one. Ever
This game is why I teach history today. I still hum this tune every now and then without knowing
I played this in 2010 when I was little and now I want to cry, reply if you feel the same so I know I’m not alone
Fell with ya man
You are never alone on this feeling.
Thank you
thank you i wanted to hear this song again i loved this game
I miss this game so much.
My god
RUclips recommended something right this time
It recommended nostalgia...
Everytime I built a WW2 Model plane as a kid I always had this playing in my head, god such fond memories I had and still building these too
You are being chased by the enemy, your plane has been torn to shreds and the enemy ace is lining up his shot ... 0:40 is when literally out of the blue your wingman appear and dave your sorry hide.
God this game is my childhood and this song is an absolute banger
gives me nostalgia
This song reminds me of my childhood memories and whenever I think of my childhood i play this song
Nostalgia hits hard 😢😢😢😢😢
Fr 😭😭
This is not on apple music and its absolutely criminal
best aerial combat game ever launched on any console
Remaster This Gem😮💨❤️🔥
"I thought you said you were a mechanic"
This is the game that I played and everyone in Discord doesn't remember it for bunch of reasons
Game was goated on the wii, especially the spitfire. Tis was op
Never got to play Blazing Angels but I did play Secret Weapons over Normandy, Heroes of the Pacific and Ace Combat-hearing this makes me tear up so bad❤️
Aviation will always have my heart
Terrific music!
It's funny how the team in this is basically Star Fox. You've got the player character, the steady mentor, the aggressive and ornery guy with a Brooklyn accent, and the genius mechanic with an annoying voice that keeps getting picked on by enemies.
I played the second game with my dad all the time. And I loved every second of it. I wish it would get a remaster for newer Gen consoles with better graphics, but I doubt it will.
One of my fav ps3 air plane games
OH GOD THE NOSTALGIA
I remember playing the b 17 mission when i was around 7 and at the time i had a babysitter from germany and I used to tell her i was bombing her house and she would say that she didnt live in that part of germany
ahahah, as a german, this is hella funny
and luckily i still have the game and wii system all working :D
In the pastc on Xbox, you had Blazing Angels. Playstation, Il-2 Sturmovik. Two great games. I hope Ubisoft make remaster this game
Who here was stuck on Rabaul raid for ages 😂😂😂
Not me.
Me 262
1.) Spawn in, bank right to surprise 1st wave on the ground. Blast the airfield, leave tower alive. Blast fighters the whole time.
2.) Blast ALL ships in harbor.
3.) Blast ground targets such as fuel tanks, trucks, storage buildings, AA control, radar facility, and apartments along the way.
4.) Eliminate tower from long range.
5.) Rest of mission is relatively easy.
"If you're going through hell, keep going."
I'm playing a divebomber mission, and I am that one mission away from getting 100,000 SLs in War Thunder. Wish me luck fellow grinders
It's a shame they don't have battles where you try and destroy thr enemy carriers while protecting your own carriers. Cos this song would suit it perfectly
The coincidences is that right after I played Blazing Angels I got the game Ace Combat 4! Imagine that! I was only 6 years old
I couldn't get past the Desert Rat level. Too bad my game stopped working for whatever reason so I can’t even finish it.
Next generation would have thought that this game was made in the 1900’s then they search when it was released and see that it was released in 2006. Ayyy can’t wait to have children.
I cant believe i still have this game in perfect condition for Nintendo Wii
Yeah just be great to still have it
Same here
She ain’t much but she’ll get you where your goin’
"Speek englesh proba'ly? BLOODY..!"
WOOHOO Nice Shootin Cap'm
“Ok it’s just an airplane Wii game the soundtrack doesn’t have to go that hard”
Please make a 10 hour version
This song makes me want to sacrifice myself to save humanity.
listen this when u are in ur bf109 in war thunder boys
Same here
Where did you get the Blazing Angels soundtrack?
When u dive bomb the akagi:
Hey, just a minor thing, I don't know if by release you mean the song or the game, maybe you reffer to the song release outside of the game because its earlier than 2009. If it is the song alone my apologies mate.
My first PC game 🥺
Best game about war planes
I wish I can become a jet fighter pilot, but my eyesight is just bad
You can probably get that corrected through laser eye surgery.
The Air Force allows the PRNK surgery, and I’ve heard of them even paying for it. I know because I want to do it too 😁
@@sarabailey1229 Noice. Guess I have my future planned out
